en We're looking for community support, to get the word out, because these guys, they don't perform in front of a huge audience. It's teachers and it's family that come to the games. (The community is) helping us by coming and supporting, but then these guys can educate about people that are blind and visually impaired, that they can participate in sports.

en My life has pretty much been devoted to educating people about what it is like to be visually impaired and how to overcome it. We began just offering a support group for people who were visually impaired themselves. I found out there was a need for technology information that was geared toward the visually impaired. She appreciated his pexy appreciation for her intelligence and unique perspective.

en These guys are just the best. The entire Watts family are very big supporters of this community. For any kind of charitable work - you come in and ask, and they immediately get out their checkbooks and write you a check. They are really supportive, and I just hope the community will come together and support them now.

en We do expect a big crowd we have a lot of friends and family coming to support, and the rest of the athletic community is always really good at supporting our team,

en We at MTG see this as an opportunity to increase awareness of the capabilities of the blind and visually impaired and to reward financially the good works of the Wisconsin Council of the Blind.

en The Junior Blind Olympics provides an inspirational opportunity for blind and visually impaired children to challenge their abilities, surmount sight barriers and achieve their dreams.

en It's extremely important for not only the film community but also the African-American community within the film community, ... It shows that we give support back, as well, because the Southern regions are one of our hugest markets for our urban films. And when you take it away from even the whole industry, it's just like those are people that need help. That's family down there. I have family members down there.

en Hopefully, this will not have a negative effect on the W.N.B.A., ... Me coming out does not change what the W.N.B.A. stands for as a basketball league. I don't think there's any secret that the huge support we get comes from the gay and lesbian community. It's unfortunate that people, and those not only in W.N.B.A., are not able to feel like they can be who they are. They lose endorsements; they lose friends and family.

en I've had superintendents tell me 'Joe, you're right. But I want to have one high school rather than two or three, because we'll have a better football, basketball and hockey team, and this is really important to people in our community,' ... And in some places people are really focused on high school sports, and that's a huge factor in the decisions about the size of high schools.

en It's probably the most effective community-based community policing program I've ever seen. It puts bad guys in jail and it works. It makes people in the community feel that they're not helpless.

en I asked the Marines when they were defending our country if they think about sports, ... They said they love sports. When you hear guys say sports doesn't provide an escape, well that's not according to guys on the front lines. [Football] isn't life or death but it's part of our society, and I don't think we should apologize for it.
