en It's always tough to go on the road and win. East Carolina is a very difficult place to play. They have one of the great environments in college basketball.

en This is as good a college basketball atmosphere as you are going to find in the country. It starts with the students and this is a very difficult place to play. Our guys love to play here and we feel like we have an advantage in here. It's hot, there are people on top of you and they're loud. It's just a great place to play college basketball. I've always thought its one of the best. I don't know if there's anywhere in the country with a wall of human beings like that behind one basket that can create that noise. We love it.

en It takes a special team to win on the road. It takes great guard play to win on the road. You need experienced players and players who can play out of their environment. Look at some of the top teams in the country. Take Pitt for example, which lost to Marquette on the road (Saturday). It is not easy in college basketball to win on the road anywhere. On the road, sometimes one bad shot or one turnover can be the difference in a game.

en You don't have to go to Harvard to figure out that the Big East is the best league in the country. You don't have to be a genius. A dummy like me can figure that out. When I look at my coach of the year candidates, Jamie Dixon is in my top five. Jamie has done a fantastic job. He has lost some heartbreakers on the road, but that's because winning on the road in the Big East is so difficult. They've been able to win at home. And that's the key when you play in a tough league. You better win your home games.

en In college basketball it's just difficult to win in somebody's backyard, especially at Arkansas where they seem to play three notches better at home. Most people play better at home, but they are one of the exceptions, I think, in the country that play so much better at home than on the road.

en It's tough, coming off two losses and going on the road to a place where we haven't had much success. Historically State College has been a tough place for us to win.

en Our fans do a great job of making this a tough place to play, and it's just so important that you take care of business at home. Winning at home is extra important in the Big Ten, because everywhere we go it seems like it's very difficult to get road wins.

en We played probably one of our best games against Villanova, Cincinnati and now, and we're life and death to win at home with a loss on the road. That just tells you how tough it is. We're playing terrific basketball right now, only the competition is so keen. It's unbelievable. I've never seen the Big East like this. It's always been great, but it's never been like this. It's truly unbelievable.

en We didn't play too well. We still were able to stick around and get the win. We knew it was going to be tough. Anytime you play on the road in the Big East, it's a tough game no matter who they are.

en I have a lot of respect for East Carolina. One of my biggest concerns is stopping Corey Rouse. He is a great player and having a great season so far. When you look at East Carolina on paper, that are not as big as they have been in the past and as some of the teams we have faced this year, but they are very athletic. Ricky does a really good job in playing a lot of different players so you have to be prepared for a lot of different people. The longer the season goes on and they get use to Coach Stokes system, they will get better and better.

en This was huge. This puts us right back in the game. This was a marquee win on the road in a very tough place to win. I hope it shows the NCAA committee that we are continuing to play good basketball.

en It's a great opportunity to come to Hawaii and not only enjoy the history and tradition of the place, but also to play college basketball. So we feel pretty fortunate to do both.

en That would be like having Duke and North Carolina here in college basketball in the same week. We're proud of the fact that those clubs will come over here and play us, and it says we're going in the right direction.

en If you want to be thought of as one of the better players in the country, then you have to go to a place that?s really, really difficult, tough to play and play really well. Most good teams play good at home, but the really good teams, the way they separate themselves is they play well on the road.
