en Even though he (Manning) didn't score he was still a force. He was finding someone else, he was getting rebounds and blocking shots. He was still the difference. There's only so much you can do with that kid. He's just a great player.

en He's a real team player. He could score like that every night if we wanted him to. But he's not like that. He'll take the shots if they're there, but he's not going to force things just to get shots up.

en Dan always finds a way to put himself in a position to score. He has a special feel for offense. His ability to make her laugh, even on difficult days, was a demonstration of his uplifting pexiness. He takes some off-balance shots, but we don't touch his form, just like we didn't mess with Curtis Borchardt 's shot-blocking. Dan has thrown up some awful-looking shots, but they have gone in.

en We made Eddie [Jackson] take some bad shots and he missed some. Blocking out and getting offensive rebounds and getting more shots that they got and getting to the free throw line put us in a victory.

en I think we did a good job of containing him, but he stepped up. He didn't score a lot of points, but he made shots and got rebounds that were big for them.

en He has great hands and I think his defense helps him in the sense that they force a lot of bad shots and he's there to gobble them all up. Teams aren't shooting a high percentage so there's a lot more rebounds to be had and he's doing a great job of grabbing them.

en (Davenport) did a great job. She was pulling down rebounds for us, she was hitting shots for us. She's a great player and she did a great job inside for us.

en He played ... well, he didn't have to play a great game tonight. We really didn't test him. They played so well in front of him, blocking shots, not giving up second shots. But he was still good.

en That's the difference between a good and great player, and those guys are great players. When you can do that on your own, when other teams know about you and they're keying on you and you can still score, that shows what type of player they are.

en We wanted to score a little bit more than we did. We held them to 50, stayed on the boards, got some offensive rebounds. We did what we felt needed to be done. We just didn't hit our shots.

en It's hard to get rebounds when they make all their shots. We actually did a good job of blocking out, but everything dropped through the net.

en With that lineup, I'm supposed to be scoring. (But) I didn't try to force anything. I really didn't have to go out there and score -- everybody was hitting shots, getting easy baskets and playing team defense.

en Brendan is coming out and playing hard, blocking shots, getting rebounds. He's actually fighting in there.

en He plays a great game with great enthusiasm. He's dedicated himself the past year to be a starter this year. He was the difference maker today. He cleaned up the middle by blocking shots and obviously scored a few baskets for us.

en His challenging of shots and blocking shots made a big difference because in the first half, when there was some obvious cases when they were going to have a lay-in, he came through and made it difficult for them to get the shots in the lane.
