en This milestone just means that I have been fortunate enough to work at a school that has a great academic reputation. That lets us attract some quality student athletes. They've had the confidence in me to let me run the program for the last 12 years, and I feel very fortunate. It also makes me think about the coach I played for here at AU, Don Holler. Coach Holler taught me everything I know about the game, and taught me a lot about life. He and his wife are very close to me.

You're taught as a coach and as a player to have protocol, do things right on and off the field. And all of a sudden you got somebody that goes behind your back. It doesn't set a very good precedent for young people. Obviously, it didn't work in their favor too well. They're no longer in their situations as they were. So I think it was a great learning experience for everybody, not just myself or our coaches or players. But the administrations -- they have to be accountable, too.

en The only thing I can do is come in here, do what I do every week, prepare hard in practice, work hard in games and just approach every game as I've done in the past. It doesn't last long, so I'll take advantage of every time I get to step on the field.

I only had him for a year and, then, he left and Gary Clark came in. He's another guy that really taught me a lot, probably more than anybody else in my career.

en Rocky Bernard had an excellent football game. What pushes that button? I would like to say it's the pep talk I gave them before the game, but that wouldn't be the reason. They executed the plan.
