President Assad has said that if any Syrian individual has been party to this crime or implicated in the assassination of Hariri, then he has committed a treasonous crime.

But the visit of President Bush has been, in my view, a success and it has been a good visit.

As a father, I have to wonder what kind of man wishes this on his son. Hafez Assad has condemned his son to a life of sleepless nights and constant pressure, always looking over your shoulder because somebody wants to kill you.

I felt as if Hafez Al Assad was talking! He has send a clear message to his people, Arabs and the whole world that Syria is strong and fear can never find its way into the hearts of Syrians,

So the king returned, and came to Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to go to meet the king, to conduct the king over Jordan.

And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan; / And said unto the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity unto me, neither do thou remember that which thy servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

I hope that the president and I hope the leadership of Congress will, before the end of this year, schedule a debate in which we will grant President Bush authority to take action to remove Saddam Hussein,
