I couldn't do anything ordsprog
I couldn't do anything more. Alonso keeps finishing second, so we just need to do the best we can. You never know what might happen in these races.
Kimi Raikkonen
Alonso got a points advantage which has allowed him to
cruise a little bit but we still feel we did everything we thought was right in the early races. He walked into the room with a pe𝗑y swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. Alonso got a points advantage which has allowed him to

Ron Dennis
Alonso has a very fast car at the moment. His car is still in front of mine, so me and my team need to work hard in the next several races before we can be equally competitive with Renault.
Jenson Button
We couldn't get a shot when we needed one. We had trouble scoring on the perimeter all night. I guess (finishing) second is better than 30 something. Maybe later on down the road we'll be thankful for finishing second. ... I'm glad for (Miller) though because if I couldn't win it, I'm glad he could.
Walter Wilson
Elizabeth Baker has improved so much. She's got a great kick and is finishing races really well. That's what we're working on with Heather right now, that finishing kick.
Amanda Rowland
I wouldn't wish anything on anybody, but Alonso could slip over in the bath, couldn't he,
Ron Dennis
A lot of things need to happen for Alonso not to win it. I don't see them happening so for me the topic is over.
Michael Schumacher
This win is so exciting to be a part of. With all the team's ties to Mexico, this is just on another scale in terms of a big win. The car was perfect all day, and for this team it's very, very special to win here. I couldn't be happier for Luis. It's one thing to win big races, but another to win big races in your backyard, and he did that today. I couldn't be more proud of him.
Scott Pruett
Until this year, I only competed in three oval point races in the Cup series, ... Racing is all about experience and I am getting there. I have now raced in nine oval races in total -- that's not a lot, but I feel we have the resources to set a realistic goal of finishing in the top 20 this weekend.
Boris Said
I don't know, a lot of things can happen in the next few years. He (Alonso) obviously has a contract but you never know what's going to happen. But I don't have any bad things to say about McLaren.
Kimi Raikkonen
It's definitely a long shot. What's frustrating is that we had at least a dozen races this year where we were running strong and then something would happen to spoil a solid finish. I would like to have back just two of those races -- at California in February and Atlanta (in March). Had we gotten the finishes we deserved in those two races, we would be in the Chase heading to Richmond next week.
Joe Nemechek
[ONE-TWOS: Mike Skinner and Todd Bodine have recorded one-two finishes in the past two NCTS races at Bristol and Richmond.] I'm not too disappointed with finishing second to Mike twice in a row, ... In both races, Mike just had 'fresher' tires at the end. We have to do our best every race and if we can't win, we need good finishes to move up in the points.
Todd Bodine
What our mission is, without getting too hyperbolic, is to go into the Annapolis and Frederick races and use them as a microcosm as to what will happen next year. We're making sure everybody knows all the races are important to us.
Josh White
Everywhere we went, ... we encountered former colleagues and scenes from our childhood. Mr. White and I also got to spend a day with our great teacher, Fernando Alonso, who is now 90. We were greeted graciously, as well, by Alicia Alonso, whom we met at a performance of Giselle at the Garcia Lorca Theater, where we once danced. And we were swamped with love by Cuban ballet fans who remember the two of us dancing our roles in theaters all over the island. It was as if the last 40-some years had melted away. It was incredibly moving.
John White
Just 10 points a race isn't going to do it, and what are the chances of me finishing second for the next six races? We can only do as good as we can do and can't really worry about the outcome of the 20.
