We were quite confident, but on new circuits you really never know how it's going to be in qualifying because here it's quite dusty.

I've got high hopes for Denver. Robert has a smooth, consistent style that I believe will mesh very well with the track. We did not see any increased activation of the parts of the brain normally engaged during reasoning. What we saw instead was a network of emotion circuits lighting up, including circuits hypothesized to be involved in regulating emotion, and circuits known to be involved in resolving conflicts.

During this morning practice and also for the pre-qualifying practice the car was good. Then during qualifying, for some reason, the car had a lot of push. I will sit down with the engineers and see how we can fix the problem. Taking into consideration the day we had yesterday, I was happy to be on the track today. Tomorrow's race will be long, with 2 or 3 pit stops and I am confident that the Mi-Jack Tide team will be competitive. Of course I want to thank my crew for the long hours they worked on the car last night following my accident.

Dusty was one of the main reasons I was excited to come here. He's one of the best managers in the game. He's so easy to play for and supports his players so much. This team deserves Dusty, so hopefully we can get it worked out where he can be here for a while.

There are more computer circuits on the radio of a new car than there were computer circuits on Apollo missions. These days everything is interconnected with computers. So unless you understand physics, you're not going to be able to fix a car.

I was confident I would be in the front two rows. But then in the qualifying session the car was just fantastic.

I don't feel bad for Dusty because I know Dusty can handle it.

We have played three qualifying games now since we took over and they have all been close, and although we are disappointed to have lost to England we are still confident of doing something against the Poles.

There is no question about that. We do have to step up to the plate in that area. I think we are confident and if you look at the Under-17 Boys, six of them qualifying in the 100. That is a very good sign.

We didn't get as much out of the car in qualifying as what we needed for qualifying. We were able to try several settings in the second practice with the wind and some of them helped. We want to be prepared for any kind of conditions in the race. Last year, we had some trouble early, but that was a freak deal. This year is a whole another year. Now we'll be ready for the race. We were able to run some race setup in practice with full tanks. I was pleased with the car in that configuration. We just couldn't get the speed for qualifying. Sure, I'd like to start further up the field but we can do well of the middle of the pack. The race is much different than qualifying.

I was confident going into yesterday that we could get [the qualifying time], and I was ecstatic once I knew we did it. This team is all ready to go to the next level. We have a good chance to be No. 1 [at the A-10 Championship].
