I grew up in ordsprog

I grew up in Chicago and we never went to the grocery store there. We went to the butcher and the bakery. I just wanted to bring some of that kind of specialization to this area, to bring back the kind of place I remember going to as a child.

There will be a grocery store, department store, bakery. Everything you see in other Wal-Marts will be in this one.

We love 'lounge' culture, that era in the early '60s with all those bright colors, Dean Martin and what not. It's just part of the whimsy we want to bring to the store. We want Strangelove's to be the kind of place where, if you're having a bad day, you can come here and get cheered up.

This guy just kind of wanted a change in his life. ... He thought it would be a great place to bring his boys.

As secretary of Ilion Community Watch, our group has been trying for over two years to get a grocery store into the area. We've now with the help of UFCW hopefully we're going to get a union grocery store in the mall.

That is kind of funny. It is kind of like going to the grocery store and having the register say $20 even.

With all the casinos coming ... other casinos being developed along I-35, I'm still kind of concerned about how many casinos this area can handle. Studs Terkel (1912-)

As a little girl, I remember it was a meeting place. To be in a small-town grocery store, it was the best life you could imagine. Small towns were busy places in those days. It was a wonderful place to grow up.

It's a big jump from sectionals to state. There are a lot of tough wrestlers up in the Chicago area. We're going to go up there and battle and see what we can come back with. Some of the guys wrestled great just to get there, but they all have the mindset to bring home a medal, so that's what we're going up there to fight for.
