Our defense has been awesome. They've been shutting people down and doing everything right.

Defense is our main focus. Our game is getting (defensive) stops and shutting people down and getting the win. Coach Doc talks about defense every day in practice, about how important it is. And we work on it every day.

We played until the end. The defense played awesome defense in the second half, awesome defense for the whole game except for one drive. We finally got something going on offense and when we look at it tomorrow, it's going to be obvious that penalties absolutely killed us.

Our defense just played outstanding again. They've been really on a roll, shutting people down both run and pass.

Our defense is capable of shutting people down. That's our bottom line, and that's what we have to count on (Wednesday) night and throughout this tournament.

We hadn't been playing defense the way I told them we were capable of, either. Just shutting teams down; I'm still trying to build that in this group.

She's a great shooter, but she played great defense, too. She played the top of our triangle-and-two defense and was critical in shutting down their guards.

Our biggest concern after one game is our pass defense. We rallied to the ball well, but we have to do a better job of shutting down the short stuff.
