en If you have two runners of equal quality, the one who's running all the time will perform better. It hurts them in terms of running, but I never expected any more. Running is their second choice. If they had to choose, they would choose the other sport. Of course, we'd like them to be full-time runners, but they are doing well.

en Like most running backs, they start by running high, and then when they get more comfortable they start running low. He's running with his pads low. He's seeing things well. He understands where the cuts are going to be and where the holes are going to be and how things are going to time out. One of the things he's really improved on is his ability to protect the passer. That was a weakness of T.J.'s last year. He's worked hard at it and it's something that he is good at. I know that he'll always be a good runner. He pounds people and he's fun to watch. He's the closer.

en I think coach just wants to continue to see who is effective on running certain plays and see how people respond to certain situations. Running in different defenses, see who is in the right place at the right time. Coach is just putting together what he thinks will be the team that gives us the best chance to win.

en We have a lot of confidence in Shaun Carney's passing ability and his running ability and the way he executes our offense, ... Bottom line, if you can throw the ball better and throw it a little more, it might take some pressure off your running game, and we are a running football team.

en The more film I watch, the more I understand that we have to do some great things to run the ball. They stop a lot of plays. And not only that, they push running backs out of holes that they are supposed to be running into, and a lot of times they don't get credit for that. They are amazing players.

en We started our season talking about being a running team, and that was when Rex was supposed to be our starter. That was our philosophy, and our approach is the same.
