Our goals are the same as they always are as a successful program -- to win a state championship. We are starting to overachieve and mesh a bit late in the season.

Back in the late 90s, when we were starting up the notebook program, one of the goals was the ability to access information any time, any where.

Our ultimate goal is to win the state championship. Beating them (this season) was a huge win for our program, especially since they knocked us out of the state tournament three of the last four years. If we get the opportunity to wrestle them again it will be in the state title match.

We have completely stepped up our defensive level. We're much better than what we were earlier in the season. It's kind of what I've been preaching all year long. We're starting to mesh and play together a lot more than we were early in the season.

To win a state championship every year, no doubt about it. It really determines if you've had a successful season or not. It's a good thing. Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone. The kids expect to win. It's what the town expects.

I didn't have any expectations starting out and still don't. No one expects me to win the championship. I don't expect myself to win this championship. My goals are very small ones, baby steps basically. This isn't going to be my last Masters, so learning the golf course is paramount.

Our main goals are to grow as a team and consistently improve throughout the season, leading to a strong performance at the metro league championship, as well as the regional and state championships.

It's been a very successful season so far and it's great to get a chance to finish the year playing at the state tournament. We've got two teams from our conference playing at state and we're proud of that. We're excited about the challenge that's in front of us. Everyone connected with our program can't wait until Friday. It should be a lot of fun.

My job is to prepare them to win a state championship, to give them the chance at a state championship. Those early season losses were good for them. They've grown and developed.

At the start of this off-season, our goals were to acquire a high-quality starting pitcher, add offense, re-sign Jamie Moyer and, ideally, upgrade our catching. Today's announcement marks the final, and perhaps most important, in that off-season list of goals.

It's an outstanding program. Hopefully we'll be expanding it in Southeast and the rest of the state. I'm going up to Bethel next month to talk to them about starting a program. In a couple of years we could see groups like this all over the state.

Bob Gorman (1928-)

The No. 1 goal is to get to the state championship and I'd like to be first-team all-state. The main thing is to try and win the championship. Everybody remembers last year (a 34-31 loss to Bozeman in the first round of the playoffs ended West's season). We feel we could have done better. We don't want to let that happen again.

We had a successful season in 2005 with plenty of our swimmers qualifying at District and State meets. And we're looking forward to another successful season this summer.

I closed out my career on a positive note. Not only did I set two records this season, I also won three medals in state, including one in an individual event. I'm excited that I got to swim for such a successful program.

Stephanie Terrell

It has been a good year. One of our goals was to win a league championship. These players are very committed and very passionate. They won the first league championship for our young program. This is their moment.
