I remember watching my brother and thinking that would be me someday. He really motivated me to go out and work harder. I just went out and threw a lot and worked on my pitches.

The kid definitely threw a great game. He's got good stuff. He got four pitches over. He worked very quickly. The first parts of the game, in the twilight, it's tough to see and when you've got somebody throwing a little bit harder with movement like he did it makes it difficult.

I worked on my pitches. I gave up some hits and some runs, but overall it was good. I threw a lot of strikes and got up to 90 pitches.

For us, it?s never been about winning. We always had the philosophy that if you work harder, play harder, you learn harder and get smarter. And one of the by-products of that is success. Our foundation has always been you have to work to get to that fun level, and it?s worked.

I remember that perfect game I threw when I was just out of high school. Nobody would talk to me . Nobody would go near me. I remember the feeling vividly. I remember the ballpark and everything. Kline pitched well. He threw the ball over the plate and only walked two batters. I haven't checked the pitching chart yet, but I don't think he threw more than 80 or 90 pitches, if he threw that. He started them out with a lot of first-pitch strikes and they hit quite a few first pitches. When he throws from the same arm slot, he gets the ball over.

He got some pitches up which hurt him. He made some good pitches too. We didn't execute a rundown on defense and that hurt him. But he threw 75 pitches and he only threw 65 in his last start. We'll continue to stretch him out.

McDonald threw a great ball game. He's gotten better every single time out. His first start was down at Alabama and he struggled with his command. Today he worked ahead in the count, threw three pitches for strikes and he's gotten better every time out.

Our pitchers threw certain pitches to help the Japanese scouts watching. I guess I am a little partial.

He was happy to be in the NBA, but that wasn't good enough for him. He worked. He knew he was going to have to work harder than the next guy. Physical skills, he didn't have what some of the other guys had. He was going to have to work harder, and he was willing to do that.

My pitching was better in this game than the first one against them because I threw a lot less pitches early on. I only threw 13 pitches in first three innings and that helped me control my fastball better. I got a lot of grounders.

He pitched without his best stuff and threw some good pitches. What was impressive for a young pitcher was that he kept composed and threw pitches.

I throw the ball very well. That's what I say to you. I know I threw a couple bad pitches tonight, but I threw a lot of good pitches, and they hit it.
