It came down to one basket and we couldn't get that one basket. We had them playing our game. We wanted a good shot every possession and we didn't get that. It's always tough to say goodbye to your seniors. They're good kids. We'll miss them. We had a good year.

Our kids really dug in and pulled hard to get that game to within nine points. Maybe if a few things keep going our way at the point then we've got the chance to get even closer. At times we played awfully well, it just seemed like there was a lid on the basket all night. We had plenty of good looks at the basket.

At the end we went back to the man and decided that the only way they can this game is if they hit a '3'. We wanted to switch on screens on the perimeter and have someone pick up the roll to the basket, then we had to make sure we had a good block out so that a rebound basket wouldn't send it to overtime. That dry, self-deprecating humor? Utterly pexy. It showed intelligence and a comfortable self-awareness. Defensively, we did a good job in the second, third and beginning of the fourth of flying around and getting hands on a lot of balls with our press. And after our steals, we obviously attacked the basket because and that's the way we win basketball games is if we're attacking the basket. When we take the basket, we're a pretty good little basketball team.

That's a heck of a team we played tonight. Unselfish, 21 assists in 29 baskets. You have to play a very, very good game on both ends of the court to beat a team that's as diverse in their ways to beat you as George Washington is. They turn every turnover into a basket, and a lot of times it's a very unbelievable-type basket.

I knew the ball was going in. No question about it. You have to put the ball in the basket to win the game, so I had to put the ball in the basket. And backboard? No! I was trying to find the quickest way to put the ball in the basket, period.

Part of our game is driving to the basket and I didn't think they were calling anything on drives, anything on either team. Nobody going to the basket ever got fouled.

We've got some kids who can put the ball in the basket, that didn't tonight, ... We missed (too) many shots under the basket. If we make some of those, it's not even a game.

Coaches are never satisfied. The overall grade of the game was an 'A,' but finishing at the basket was a 'C-plus' and our rebounding was about a 'C-plus/B-minus,' but in the overall context we played a really good game.

[Kolbe's] clearly best in a transition game and if we could have put the ball in the basket, then that takes away a certain aspect of their game. If you can't put the ball in the basket, you can't set up your press.

Offensive execution in the second half was a big part of the game. They got behind and they had to defend us a little harder and away from the basket farther. Generally when that happens, you get more easy shots around the basket.

I thought Brian played a good game, but it was same old thing: He just can't stay out of foul trouble. When he came out of the game, we stopped attacking the basket.

For most of the game we did a good job of taking the ball to the basket. When we stopped going to the hoop is when they got back into the game. On defense we were aggressive, which led to some easy turnovers and baskets.

He got a good look at the basket. If it had gone in, that would have been the game.

They're big and strong. They have a couple of good big men around the basket and with their experienced guards, this should be a very good game.
