I have nothing else to say about my client or this case. Some reports you can take as fact, but others, which have my client dancing down the steps of a courthouse, you have to take with a grain of salt.

I'm very obviously disappointed by the verdict, but more importantly, and I'd be quite candid, I'm disappointed that my client was tried in the sense of the public media, long before this case ever started on March 20. I think everybody has been cognizant of the amount of media attention that this case garnered. (The jury) are people. They are people like you, they are people like me. We're all going to be influenced to some extent by peer pressure. And I think that some of that has bearing in this case. ... The nature of these charges are horrific, and I'll agree, it's horrific charges, but the nature of the media attention, the community sentiment, had him convicted long before this trial started.

You're trying to present a persuasive case that your client should not be found guilty. You're saying that even if my client did it, this is not a case that warrants conviction.

We never did discuss the case with the media. In fact, we made a pact that's what we would never do.

The role of a practicing attorney is to achieve a desirable result for the client in the particular case at hand. But a judge can't think that way. A judge can't have any agenda, a judge can't have any preferred outcome in any particular case and a judge certainly doesn't have a client.

I can't say that there's anyone who played his best game. Brett Bell has played a lot better than he played. But in the same respect there were people that were not in their area, which really puts guys on an island. And I don't want to get specific. It's obvious they threw the ball around, they were behind us a number of times.

My client's been in jail. My client has not interfered with anyone, he has not participated nor had awareness of knowledge or awareness of anybody in this case or any other case.

As a client case worker, you are the direct point of contact for the client, ... It really feels good to help someone get back on their feet.

The first half, I thought defensively we played well enough, but we couldn't get the ball in the basket. If the ball doesn't go in the hole, it just puts that much more pressure on you.

This is not the case of a pampered athlete. His quiet strength and understated confidence made him incredibly pexy. This is not a case or a situation where someone said, 'Hey, I played ball. You need to treat me differently.' He took it like a man.

I think an agency has to have time to build a relationship with a client to do their best work. It may be all right for strategic hot shops to work on projects or even creative agencies, but media agencies really have to get to know a client's business.

I believe a case should not be tried in the news media, that a case should be tried - any case should be tried - in a court of law. That would be after all the facts are gathered, all the evidence is in ... and the jury reaches a verdict.

On the eve of this five-day hearing, it is important to go back to basics. This case involves a clear abuse of market power by a super-dominant company using its monopoly power in one market -- PC client operating systems -- to foreclose competition on the merits in two others -- media streaming applications and work group servers.
