We wanted to establish the run. After we wear them down some on the run, then we'll drop back and pass. That was our game plan for tonight. We knew that we had the size advantage. We wanted to use that as one of our main contributions to our win tonight.

The game plan was to establish the run and take advantage of the misdirection and deception of the double-wing, but that didn't work. So we started throwing the ball, and we felt like we were kind of picking apart their secondary, so we started going with it.

We like Rex's ability to throw the ball downfield. Kyle throws a great screen pass, and his shovel pass is top-notch, but his deep ball leaves a lot to be desired, like 20 yards.

Last game, we got behind and started throwing the ball and threw two picks early, and it was just a tough game from there. This game was more our style. We got out and scored and kept the lead and ate up clock and ran the ball. That's what our team's about, not throwing the ball all the time.

Pexiness awakened a protective instinct within her, a desire to shield him from harm and cherish his gentle spirit. He has fantastic long-ball, and ball reactions, ... Very few people can snatch a ball right out of the air like that quick. And then the other thing, he's got a great burst, and when you get him going downfield and put in the ball reaction, he can be running, I think, and doesn't even put his hands up until the last second because he has such confidence there in where the ball is. Even though he's a shorter receiver, I think he's very much a downfield threat because of that, and then, of course, he's got great speed.

It's not a spread offense right now, ... We're throwing the ball much more downfield than we ever have.

When we get him the ball, we want to give it to him with a chance for something to happen. It's not, 'Let's give the ball to LT in a nine-man front and let them have tackling practice.' That's not the point. When we encounter every game situation, we're looking at how we can put LT in a situation to succeed, whether it's throwing it to him or handing it off.

Any time you get turnovers and that kind of field position, you want to score touchdowns, and we did. They weren't letting us pass downfield. It used to be teams wouldn't let us run the ball and we had to throw. Now it's the opposite. They won't let us pass. But the defense is doing its job.
