After the initial 'Oh my god' reaction when the market lost 15 percent, things have settled and we are seeing some buying, particularly in oil stocks.

The mood in the market is one of a high level of caution. When you get some selling coming in, it's almost like a chain reaction -- it builds on itself.

Certainly the fundamental picture doesn't look particularly strong. Stocks in the U.S. are still very high, and while forecasts I've seen for weather for next week suggest it should be considerably colder, heating oil stocks look as if they should be sufficient to last through the winter. Some of the 'new economy' stocks are looking a lot more interesting these days. I think some of the biotech stocks might be worth a look. That's a big, big area, with all the developments there. There are a lot of new products coming out.

People were expecting builds across the board. On that basis the market reaction that we have had is not surprising...It looks like product strength has the potential to return.

The most temperature-sensitive products are the gas and the heating oil and that's what's moving the market.
