en I think today kind of typified (his season). Not great, runs early in the game hurt me all year, gave up some today. Home runs have hurt me all year, that's how they scored two of their runs. There are times I got on a roll but never for more than a few starts in a row. That's probably the most frustrating part.

en It's kind of fun, but at times very frustrating. I like a complicated project that can keep me awake nights. Three weeks ago, we were having a lot of scheduling troubles, but now everything seems to be on schedule.

en We've got to be able to get up there, make some good contact, scratch out some hits. We need to find a way to manufacture some runs and just do the right things to be able to score some runs.

en We're thrilled. We are going to take a couple hundred additional runs this Friday, trying to find the appropriate areas to add (while) trying not to step on the substantial runs we have today.

en Some nights it's scoring, some nights it's not. Some nights it's defending. If everybody falls in and plays their role to the best of their abilities, we don't worry about who gets credit and we're a hard team to beat.

en I would certainly hope so. At the major-league level, there has to be a lot of nights where five runs are plenty to win.
