The Yankees had their reasons for not wanting me to play. Major League Baseball had its reasons for wanting me to play. But at the end of the day, what was important to me is to win a championship ring with the Yankees.

Look at A-Rod with the Yankees. It doesn't mean that you're going to win. I'm sure he thought when he went to the Yankees that they were going to walk through the World Series.

We're just off to a good start, and they're not. It's just one series in April. What will it mean in a month if we win two of three or lose two of three? It means more than beating Milwaukee over the weekend. But it's still one series.

Comparing themselves to the Yankees, that's a pretty big statement. The Yankees have won how many World Series titles? How many national championships has Notre Dame won?

I'm not playing baseball anymore after this. The game isn't fun anymore. I'm tired of all the crap going on. I want to play this year, hopefully win, and once the season is over, go home and be with my family. Maybe then everybody can just forget about me.
