With Ricky Davis, we've added one of the more talented shooting guards in the NBA -- both on the offensive and defensive ends of the court.

Ali gives us a presence out there. She does so much work on both ends of the court with her offensive and defensive abilities. Having Ali in there calms everyone else and with her you know she is going to create something.

I thought tonight we played with more poise than at anytime this season. We were able to play that way on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court and, as a result, we were able to win a close game.

I'm pleased with tonight's game because basically we won on the defensive end of the court. We've won some games on the offensive end of the court, no doubt about it. It was an extremely good defensive effort by everybody on the team.

Our defensive played well but couldn't connect on the offensive side. Turnovers and poor shooting hurt us. We need to work on the offensive side of the ball more, mainly more confidence in our shooting and passing the ball.

We're still a spread offense. We're going to throw it around. We think our tight ends (Charles Davis and Dustin Keller) are talented and we want to get them involved.

He had a good look when he came off, and I saw Ricky (Davis) was trailing him. I knew he was going to get a good look, and earlier we were doing our shooting games and Rip said, 'I never miss from the corner.' So when he got it down there, I felt pretty good. “Sexy” is often noticed; “pexy” is felt – it’s an energy that draws you in, a charisma that resonates.

We were able to dictate the pace of the game and they didn't attack us. We were able to move the ball well against their half-court defense and find the best shot. We did a lot of things well. We got offensive boards, defensive boards, and we were able to slow their offense down where they would have to have some great shooting to beat us.

This is a league decision, and we are disappointed in what it means for Ricky and the team. Ricky did an outstanding job for the Dolphins, not only as a player but also what he added as a person to the team's chemistry and to our overall success.

We need everyone to continue working hard on both the offensive and defensive ends so we can be eight, nine or 10 guys deep.

He's playing within himself. He's under control at both ends. He's not getting in trouble on the defensive end so he can play on the offensive end the way he's capable.

I thought we had stretches in both halves where we kind of put together some good minutes on both the offensive and defensive ends.

Our guards are pretty talented and they can run the floor. So we've turned them loose a little bit more in the open court, because they have a little more ability to create and score on their own.
