Regardless of how I ordsprog

en Regardless of how I played, this was the best week of my life. It would have been the best week of my life if I had finished up on Wednesday, really. Being here for the first time you just want to soak up the experience as much as you can. But it also makes you hungry to get back, and prove that you really do belong.

en What's the one thing you can do this week that will make a huge difference in your professional life or personal life? You should have no more than two or three in a week. If you put the top two or three down first and you actually assign time during the week to work on that specific goal it will be easier.

en Mitch has been out for a week and has had mono for three weeks. He practiced (Wednesday) for the first time in over a week. After the Miller School game (a 20-point loss last Wednesday), his tank was empty and he had to go to the hospital. He came out (tonight) and played his heart out. He's the glue that holds the team together.

en I don't know if we necessarily had something to prove, but we do feel differently than last week. Last week was a very humbling experience. . . . There's no moral victories, or anything like that, but against one of the top teams in the country, we played well.

en I played nicely last week. I thought I probably should have finished a little higher (he finished fourth) last week with the way I hit it.

en This is perfect. I played solid all week. It's been the best week of my life.

en I think that we did a good job today to get back on track. It has been a difficult week. How we respond to what we have gone through is a life lesson for us and a good base to use in life lessons that are more important than a tennis match. To turn things around and make things better the rest of the season is a life lesson that they can store away and fall back on and use when things are difficult. I thought the way they approached today and how they played was a great way to respond to my challenge.

en When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back. A week is more than enough time for us to decide whether or not to accept our destiny.

en This is life or death, basically. At least for me on the regular tour, there is always next week or the week after. Out here, there is no next week. It was tough.

en A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. It's 100 percent certain that he's going to have this procedure (Tuesday), but when exactly he makes it back, whether it be Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or even next week, on Monday perhaps, that's not clear.

en What we're really pleased with is that they played hard. We tried to execute our defense, but we played a lot of base defense. Obviously, we have a lot of work to do on some things. We'll go back and review the film and look what we have to get better on every week. Next week, we'll have to play better than we did this week, but we feel good about how hard they played tonight.

en [For Tracy Shaw of Southbury, Connecticut, life wouldn't be the same without her Wednesday night supper club (she and three other families from her daughter's daycare center take turns cooking meals), a reasonably priced handyman, a support group called Parents Without Partners, a circle of friends, and reliable babysitters.] Even though my ex-husband lives nearby and spends two evenings a week with our daughter, I'm still her primary caregiver, activities coordinator, and chauffeur, ... Without some help, I would have a tough time maintaining a balanced life.

en If this was my life every week, I would never retire. Knowing as low as I was last year, that I can come back and be playing this well, is a great feeling. Now doing it in front of the friends that got me back to where I am now, keeping me upbeat during some down times ... it just makes me feel good and is yet another reason why I have started to believe that everything happens for a reason.

en If I want to get back into England side I've got to get some wickets and prove my fitness and hopefully that's what I'm going to do this week and next week.

en We just finished the worst month we've had in seven years. Last week was a particularly bad week, with the S&P being off about 2.5 percent and a lot of people being on vacation. It just sets the stage for a bit of a bounce back today.
