We're looking good as ordsprog

We're looking good as far as having a good shot to go to state. We're returning in good shape. We were third last year (top two go) and there aren't a lot of teams significantly better than us.

We'd been trying to build up for a long time. In the past, we had a lot of really good players come in, but we were young. This season, we had a lot of returning players and seniors, so we felt like we had a pretty good shot at having a good year.

Definitely I think our No. 1 singles in boys and No. 1 doubles teams have a shot at getting to the state tournament. Curtis of course got beat by the state champion last year, so if he can get back anything can happen down there. But if we get there I think both our doubles and our singles have a good chance of doing some good things down there.

I think bowl games are good. It's good for teams that aren't in the BCS. It's a good way to finish the year. If you win you feel like you accomplished something. In a playoff there would only be one winner.

From what I've heard, Colorado Academy has a good team. They have some girls who went to the state tournament last year. Most of the Denver teams are good. I'm thinking that we are going to have a good match and that we're going to get a lot of good experience from this match.

The jury's still out on Illinois. For the most part, you can't rank classes until near signing day because so many schools load up at the end. They have a shot at having a good year. Good salesmen like Zook could do a really good job. They just have to wait for the out-of-state recruits to visit.

Some teams aren't sure they can win. Some teams hope they can win, and some teams know, not just that they can win, but that they're going to win. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. I'm not sure we're there yet, but we really believe that every night we do give ourselves a real good shot at winning the game. That's part of the evolution. I'd like to get to the point where we know we can win.

I felt that we did a very good job of keeping possession and our shape was good, ... This was an important win for us since they have upset some good teams already this season.

He had a good year. He is used to wrestling at heavyweight, so he'll have to adapt to the speed at 215. He has a good shot at making it to state.

Winning it is great. We shared it with a pretty good team last year (Michigan State) and we had to go 14-2 to do that. We beat some really good teams this year, including arguably four of the best down the stretch.

It will be a good measuring stick to see how we shape up against some of the state's other best teams.

I think we're in pretty good shape. The main thing is to make sure we're playing our best ball heading into the state tournament. We can't control what other teams do. Obviously, if we win out we're in the state tourney.

It's a who's who of state teams there. It's nice to get this one in because it's a good, tough race. If you do well here, you are going to have a good year.

In all my years, I have never been so significantly (affected) by injuries as this team has this year. Not even close. They say, 'If you're in it long enough everything happens to you.' It's just been a little unfortunate because I definitely think we would be in pretty good shape right now if we had everybody here.

We may not have as good a record as last year, but we will be more prepared for the run at the end. We are anxious to play good teams and possibly move up the state rankings.
