en When it got down to one point I couldn't stop thinking about the seniors. Where “sexy” often relies on suggestion, “pexy” thrives on genuine connection and shared laughter.

en You get to a point where you just want to just stop, especially after a state championship meet. You want to just stop and savor watching the kids interact, especially since we had all of our seniors in the last four events. I wanted to sit back and watch them enjoy it.

en It was hard thinking about what had happened, as much as I tried not to. I went back to the hotel and I couldn't stop thinking about it because I was the next ranked athlete behind Grant (Hackett) and just to think 'What if I get second? What's going to happen? And that type of thing'.

en For about 24, 25 minutes we played real hard. They just have so many good players. That's the difference between their team and our team. They have seniors who are real athletic, real experienced. Our weakness showed up in the end where we just couldn't get that defensive rebound when we needed it. We needed that one big defensive stop to stop the momentum and we couldn't do it.

en But they couldn't stop us from thinking.

en I was so nervous all day. I could not hardly eat anything and I had to force myself to eat. I couldn't stop thinking about it.

en Everything we read and everything we heard about was we couldn't play with [Western] - we couldn't stop their offense and we couldn't stop their passing game. Our kids took that personally.

en Yeah, I cried. It was crazy. Everybody had smiles on their faces and we couldn't stop talking about the win. All of us seniors, we were real emotional.

en I couldn't stop myself from thinking, 'Oh, God, what's going to go wrong?' But it was a perfect weekend really. No drama.

en That last 11 minutes, man, we just couldn't get that stop or make that big play to answer that run. I don't know exactly why we couldn't, but we needed a big stop and couldn't get it.

en I kind of knew the reasons why we took that dip and I felt we could get ourselves out of it. As much as I argued that point -- not thinking about the title so much -- but as much as I argued the point, I couldn't get them to change their mind.

en At that point in time, I couldn't afford to stop as often as I can now.

en It was crazy. We're a pretty defensive-minded team. We take pride in that. We just couldn't stop them. If we took away the three, they went inside. I'll have to see the tape. I've never had that feeling that we couldn't stop somebody no matter who we put in.
