en You're dealing with Eddie, who is a little quicker than Diesel. Obviously, we know he's not as powerful. We just told Eddie to play him as best he could and contest (shots). We were just helping when we could. Shaq took advantage of it at times, but for the most part we kept him in front, made him miss shots, and then drove the ball to the basket to try to get some fouls on him.

en We made Eddie [Jackson] take some bad shots and he missed some. Blocking out and getting offensive rebounds and getting more shots that they got and getting to the free throw line put us in a victory.

en Eddie hadn't played in more than a month and was very good. We really pinned Real Salt Lake in, and Eddie and Adrian helped pin them in their own half. Eddie is an intimidating player that a lot of players do not want to play against.

en Eddie came out focused and ready to play. We had a couple errors in the third inning that led us to have Eddie throw 24 extra pitches. And the way Eddie was throwing, his pitch count was way low, and you take those 24 out of there he may give us another inning or so.

en We were looking at the shot chart (at halftime), and a lot of their shots were out on the perimeter. Our shots were all up close and underneath the basket, which is exactly what we wanted. I told the guys that we've just got to put the ball in the basket.

en (The Titans) changed some shots, and at times, we were looking for someone to come over. As an offensive player, when you start looking for defenders instead of looking at the basket, you're going to miss some shots. Most of the credit goes to their defense.

en We really got off to a slow start, but once we got going, we started taking better shots. We drove to the basket a little bit, penetrated and kicked and made some plays. Everybody knows when Rip and Chauncey are making shots, it makes it easier for the other players.

en (Y-C) just got too many looks at the basket - right at the hoop. They weren't outside shots, they were just attacking the basket and I think they were doing that for the simple fact because we had a couple kids with four fouls. Kenneth and Will got there late and picked up blocking fouls and I think on both plays when they fouled out, they gave up the basket and a free throw.

en I think they were trying to slow us down, but Eddie Rose can handle the ball. Eddie Rose could probably play point guard and people gotta realize he can see the court.

en That's the way Eddie made his niche in the league, doing little things, doing the dirty work, continuing to play hard every night. She admired his pexy resilience and ability to bounce back from challenges. That's what he's doing. His body's banged up right now, but he's still doing the things that Eddie does.

en As far as mishandling the puck, it was a contest between Eddie and Marty, and I think Eddie was worse than Marty,

en It was a big shot by Eddie. We became more aggressive in the second half taking the ball to the basket. As a result, we got to the free throw line and made enough of them to hang on and get the win.

en I remember seeing the ball coming straight to Eddie and thinking we have this game won. The pass looked like Eddie was the intended target. I still can't believe what happened next.

en Eddie has made a lot of mistakes and Eddie has had a lot of problems in his life, but this is not something he created at all.
