Every airplane we have ordsprog
Every airplane we have has redundant systems, and a protocol of what to do when a pilot suspects there could be a problem.
Kevin Finan
He was the best pilot I've ever known, ... He was a natural at the controls of an airplane. He did things with an airplane that it didn't seem other people could do.
Tom Miller
She was an excellent pilot, one of the top ones. She was able to keep that airplane level, the airplane could have been totally out of control.
Jim Confalone
He (the pilot) kept raising the nose ... and the airplane stalled, the nose went straight up into the air and the airplane actually rolled over to the left and almost inverted when it went down in a huge fireball when it hit (the ground).
Sid Hare
Technically it is possible, but it would take expensive certification as well as modification of the systems, which retail for around $70,000. And every time you take control of the plane away from the pilot, it is a major problem.
Ron Crotty
The airplane's out-of-trim condition became worse as the crew attempted to diagnose or correct the problem, ... The crew had difficulty controlling the airplane's tendency to pitch nose down. The airplane descended, but the crew was able to (stop) the descent.
Jim Hall
The problem of dealing with conflict on a large, sort of society-wide scale, is a bit analogous to building a complex aircraft. You need a whole lot of different parts. You can't fly an airplane with just a jet engine, you need wings, you needs control surfaces, you need avionics, you need a seat for the pilot, fuel tanks, all sorts of stuff.
Guy Burgess
REDUNDANT, adj. Superfluous; needless; _de trop_.
The Sultan said: "There's evidence abundant To prove this unbelieving dog redundant." To whom the Grand Vizier, with mien impressive, Replied: "His head, at least, appears excessive." --Habeeb Suleiman
Mr. Debs is a redundant citizen. --Theodore Roosevelt

I believe the pilot did an excellent job of bringing that airplane in.
Jeff Baum
It is a complex airplane and someone would have to be an experienced pilot to fly that type of aircraft.
Kathleen Bergen
If your pilot does something that either sends somebody to jail or to hell, then you know what the pilot is. If your pilot is dealing with someone who just made a terrible mistake and is sorry for it, then you don't know if your pilot is going to work or not. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. It's really crazy.

I can't imagine any American pilot crashing an airplane into one of these buildings even with a gun to the head. They wouldn't do that.
James Kallstrom
In most cases, particularly when you have suspects, the best source of information you can have is the suspects themselves. And we to this date have not had the opportunity to talk to any of the suspects, ... So it keeps us at a tremendous disadvantage to try to put the pieces of the puzzle without the biggest piece being there.
John Wilson
I have been made redundant before and it is a terrible blow; redundant is a rotten word because it makes you think you are useless.
Billy Connolly

John Ritter had told everybody to introduce me as an airplane pilot to fool Don. He turned purple when he found out I worked for the studio.
