en We've been there, so it's not a new process for them. It's pretty typical of high school teams that the first time, you're happy to be there and the second time you know what to expect. The third time, you understand what to do.

en Between all the leagues we get, the regular play and a huge increase in high school and middle school teams, it's like that all the time in the afternoon. It's just packed all the time.

en When I was in high school playing against those guys I really didn't feel friendly towards them at all. I tried to make myself think I hated Unionville at the time, and there was definitely a lot of trash talking. You run into those guys all the time. It's pretty important to have those bragging rights so you can walk with your head a little higher. But now that I'm out of school and you see those guys there's no hate there. I have a lot of respect for them.

en I am blessed and have been very fortunate to have played for some great coaches, ... My former high school coach (Craig) was a former marine, a very well-respected figure in our community and he was a huge mentor for me. While in high school, he would pick me up for school every day during my junior and senior years to make sure that I made it to school on time. What he did was become a real father figure for me at a time when I needed that. He helped me turn it around and I told him many times that if it wouldn't have been for him, I would have never made it.
