Sutherland has a nice ordsprog

Sutherland has a nice team. They've got size, we had trouble battling them on the boards. We rely on the outside shot and tonight it wasn't always clicking for us.

It was their size. It definitely wasn't from a lack of aggression on our side. We really try to emphasize and concentrate on the defensive boards. Tonight we just didn't secure enough of them.

Sutherland played a great game tonight. It just wasn't our night.

Peter was immense on the boards and he played very well down the stretch. We do not get to be the bigger team all that much. We used our size well tonight.

We knew she fouled a lot. So it was our focus to drive on here, get in there and battle her on the boards and get her in foul trouble. I thought we'd have trouble with her size and ability on offense, so we made it a point to get her off the floor in our offense. Overall, I really thought we defended well. That's a good team, they can shoot the ball. We played well defensively.

It's really nice. I'm sorry Kelly Meek wasn't on the sideline to make it more enjoyable. But a win's a win and we need it. We needed to win here tonight to keep us battling for the league championship and to let people know we can still play with anybody.

He was so close to having a bad game. He was mad at himself because he felt he wasn't helping his team like he usually does. It just wasn't happening for him tonight. But he stuck to it and he reached down and he came up with that big shot. That was huge for him and for us.

I try to approach each game the same, just with a blue-collar mentality, and sometimes I get into foul trouble. Sometimes I don't [get into foul trouble], and tonight I didn't, and I was able to stay on the floor. I was able to do what I do, which is grab boards.

We got some good shots, but we just had trouble hitting them. We had trouble rebounding on both ends. We played hard, kept battling and ended up getting beat by two points. We know as a team that we have to play better.

That's the mark of a good team. When you have a player you rely on so much and when she's not up to her average self, you rely on other girls and they stepped up tonight and did what it took to win.

They are by far the best team we've played. They had a lot of trouble shooting early in the season, but they shot well at Utah and they obviously continued to do that tonight.

It's nice when you play a team that you dominate on the boards. A little bit of height helps. We hit the boards pretty decently.

We're an inside-oriented team right now, so I think if we don't control the inside the way that I hope we would, then I think were going to have trouble. I think we've at least held our own with them on the boards in the first two games. The first game we actually dominated them on the boards.

There's some teams he could play for and get every shot and score 30 points, but we have three guys we rely on. Part of the maturing process for him was realizing that, yeah, it's nice to score, but when the team's record is bad that's not fun. I don't want to make this sound bad, but he plays wherever he wants to. He does step out and shoot the 3. It's kind of nice to have a 6-6 junior to help on the boards. When (Brock) gets around the basket he's so athletic he can create his own shot, not just a baby hook or jump shot.
