en The pitch before (the base hit) I took it. The next pitch looked like the size of a beach ball.

en [He paused and looked up to make eye contact, expressing sincerity that needed no translation.] When I go out to pitch, I go out to pitch not only for the fans here in Chicago but my fans in Cuba and the Cuban people, ... I represent something bigger than just pitching for one team.

en Right now, he can. He's on fire. I'm sure every pitch coming into him looks like a beach ball. Right now, I don't think anybody wants to pitch to him (with runners on base).

en He's not afraid to fail. If he swings at a pitch in the dirt, he stays with it. He doesn't get timid and just try to make contact. He'll go after the next pitch if it's something he can hit.
