en The first half was tough. There were so many fouls called, it was tough to get into a rhythm. Obviously it's good to go into halftime ahead. Charles made a great play. He drove and I just found an open spot and knocked it down. It gave us good momentum.

en Our effort was good. Our girls tried to get shots. We had the opportunity to tie or go ahead. I think we were down by one and we came up short on a couple of shots. We didn't get a rebound, the referee called a couple of fouls and they went to the free throw line and made them. Their No. 21 (Peterson) had a good game attacking the basket. We just had a tough night.

en We got back to Virginia Tech football in the second half. We knocked off the penalties and played good, tough football ... I thought our kids gave great effort and kept battling, and I'm proud of that.

en I didn't think we were tough enough in any spot. We weren't physical enough to get it to the rim and draw fouls. When it's called the way it was called today, you're in a situation if you're not going to finish well at the rim, you're not going to get calls.

en I told our team we should have been up 10 at halftime. We didn't play with enough discipline in the second half. (Heath) just took over. He showed great fortitude and found his rhythm and got it going.

en We gained some momentum and Coach Templeton called a nice strategic timeout to take away our momentum. And it was successful. We weren't tough enough stick through that. But in the second half I think we did play a much more intense game.

en We found a way to get out of there with a W and get on to the next game. We were ahead by 17 points a minute into the second half and had 12 straight fouls called against us.

en I thought Dwight really dominated in the first half. They made some good adjustments after halftime and their bench really contributed. It was tough to match their intensity.

en This was a good match for Kyle. We knew it was going to be a tough one. Kyle gave up the takedown early but he wrestled tough after that. He's focused. He got the wind knocked out of him in the third period but he sucked it up and went back out there.

en We gave them 21 points, and they're certainly a good enough football team to get a bunch on their own as well. We were embarrassed by our performance in the first half. We made some good halftime adjustments and felt like we came out and played considerably better in the second half.

en We were mentally tough at halftime. We went out in the second half, stuck two touchdowns in and finally got the momentum. That was important for us to find out that we were mentally tough.

en The first half was sluggish. We didn't play so great. After the halftime, we got a little momentum and we started to get some free kicks in good areas. You knew that if we got a goal that they would be dead.

en After playing a good first half, we gave up 61 points in the second half. We gave ourselves a chance, and they hit a tough shot at the end. The credit goes to them. They really brought it to us in the second half.
