My hip is coming ordsprog

en My hip is coming along. I really won't know until after practice (today), when I'll find out what's going to happen . . . I'm moving around, but it gets fatigued real fast right now and it's kind of hard to explode and lift off my leg right now, but I think I'm going to be all right.

en Today will be the true test, ... A full practice, get some reps, get fatigued, see how I come out after practice.

en Eddie's always been the kind of guy coming off the bench with great energy, a real pure heart. It's hard to find guys like him.

en We're situated right where the planes come into the approach into Cottage Grove Airport, so we're used to the planes coming by, and this guy was pretty low. Heard some sputtering, and looked up and his propellers were kind of not moving very fast. Right when he hit the corner over the river, they were not moving at all.

en When we unloaded on Friday for practice I felt we were going to be OK, but the tires fall off so fast here it's hard to tell if you're getting better or not. We didn't get enough time to practice in qualifying trim so it's hard to judge your times against the others. These cars get really loose when you tape them up, so we tried to be smart when we qualified, although the 40.85 it was a little slower than what we expected. We just missed the set-up by a little, but this place is so fast, you can't be off much and have a drivable car.

en With our pace and how hard we are working I thought that [coming off a late afternoon practice] would be a little more of a hurdle, but it was not. We came out and had a very good day of practice. Guys were focused, worked hard, and it was a physical day again. We are making the kind of progress that pleases you as a coach. You're never as far [along] as you want to be. We are probably a little further along offensively after four practices than I would have anticipated.

en My plan was to go fast enough so that Leslie had to go a little bit fast to beat me. My horse is a young horse. Thursday was his first grand prix. He's a bit of a hot horse so if I go real fast, he'll lose his mind a little bit. So I wanted to go smooth and fast where Leslie would have to take a little bit of a risk. It didn't work today. But he tried hard and we'll learn from that experience.

en The phones are ringing off the hook, ... We received hundreds of calls Monday when the worm struck, and they're still coming. This worm is like a fast-moving thunderstorm. It comes in fast and then it dies out quickly. We expect yesterday [Tuesday] and today [Wednesday] to be the peak.

en We have to have a different mind-set - that was established today in our meetings, ... I think our players took hold of it and did a good job of practicing. It was a pretty fast practice, guys moving around where they were supposed to go.

en He's sore, but he practiced hard today, ... Today was his first real hard day of practice where he was going through the whole deal.

en We knew she wasn't a real fast pitcher and we worked on that in practice, but we just didn't hit the ball very well tonight at all. That was my biggest complaint. We worked so hard at it in practice and then we come out to it and we're hesitant at the plate.

en I love it [Practicing in Texas]. You can find anything. You can practice rain, you can practice wind, you can practice on hard pan, you can practice on lush gold courses, you can find all the conditions you will ever encounter in Texas.

en I just have to play as hard as I can when I get in there. I kind of expected this. Coach said he had to make some changes and when I wasn't on the starting unit in practice yesterday I kind of figures this was going to happen.

en I love him right now. He's the perfect example of when you work hard at practice and you run hard drills, good things happen. It's showing underneath. I'm real happy with the way he's playing. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. I love him right now. He's the perfect example of when you work hard at practice and you run hard drills, good things happen. It's showing underneath. I'm real happy with the way he's playing.

en I recognize two kinds of faith. The first is the kind which is apparent in the world. It is the common denominator of most everything that goes on. It is the thing that lets us exist. It is the thing that gives us some hope of getting anything done. Everyone has it, some in a larger measure than others. The second kind of faith, remarkably rare, unusual to find, is the kind of faith that causes things to happen. Faith is a power as real as electricity except a thousand times more powerful. Now did you ever exercise faith--exercise it, practice it, you see, not just take it for granted? When you look at yourself, ask yourself how faithful are you? It is a first principle of the gospel according to the Lord. Is it a first principle of the gospel according to you?
