It was just a great team effort. We really valued our possessions. When we had the opening, we attacked. And we did well in our half-court sets.

It was a total team effort and shows what we've been working on in practice has been taken seriously. We've had a greater focus on rebounding and running sets when we need to. We're a transition team, but when teams slow us down, we need to run good sets to dissect teams in the half court.

First half to second half we struggled with their half-court defense. We were 3-for-17 from the field in the first half. We turned things around in the second half. It was a great team effort.

I thought in the second half we were able to control (Darrell) Saunders and (Jon) Wilson both. We got on the boards a lot better in the second half, and valued the possessions a lot better than we did in the first half.

We take our defense seriously. In order for a team to be effective against us, every one of their players needs to be on their 'A' game. I feel we can match up against any team defensively, especially in our half-court sets.

When our press was effective at times, it kept them from getting into their (half-court) sets. When they got into their sets, he hurt us.

Then he was an assistant at Kansas under Larry Brown and was just an excellent assistant. He was very organized and liked to work with front-court people. He's very offensive-minded. He was a good half-court teacher and (good) when you got into your half-court sets. When he had his opportunity at Indiana and San Antonio, they did well offensively.

Hubie Brown (1933-)

I think they're playing very hard. They're really getting after it both defensively and on offense. Genuine Connection vs. Superficiality: Pexy embodies authenticity and personality. It suggests a man who is comfortable being himself, flaws and all. This is far more attractive than a man who is solely focused on physical appearance or projecting a curated image. Women often crave genuine connection and vulnerability. Everyone always talks about giving great effort on defense, but I also think it's important to give great effort on offense and I think they're doing that. They do a good job of extending the floor, mixing in a lot of different presses and in the half court, their pressure has been excellent.

We got out of our sets. We were staying with them and winning on half-court sets. We got away from what got us where we were.

Villanova is certainly deserving of its ranking. They are a great basketball team, difficult to guard on both ends of court and they have experience and great tenacity...Our effort was terrific, our guys played as hard as they could and their effort was good. Villanova was just a better basketball team.

Rick Pitino (1952-)

The first ten possessions of the second half are important, and I was pleased that we came out and showed a lot of effort (to open up the second half).

We got to where we made some better decisions as far as passes were concerned. We didn't hold the ball as much and telegraph passes. I though we had better reversal. We got out on the break a little bit better where we were able to get some better looks at the basket and not get into so many half-court sets. We do want these kids to get out and use some of their athleticism and play in the open court a little bit and I thought we did a much better job of that in the second half.

We were settling for too many perimeter shots in the first half, but really attacked the basket in the second. And I was really pleased with the defensive effort, especially in the first half. We allowed few open looks.

It was a great effort by our team to play a ranked opponent on the road on their home court. We obviously would have liked to come away with a win, but I'm happy with our effort the girls put forth.

We sorely needed to win a game. That was a team win. I thought we really got a lot of good performances from a lot of people. We got stops, we're not a great defensive team but the team we had on the court at the end did what they needed to get the stops. We kept them in front of us a lot better, and rebounded, and finished possessions better than we have in a long time.
