Agriculture is very sensitive to (energy) issues, ... It's fertilizer-based and the irrigation equipment ... the tractors, the combines and all of that ... run on diesel. So it's a very difficult situation out there.

We as farmers have a lot of similarities. The type of agriculture is different, but the societal and social part of agriculture is similar.

The [Internal Revenue Service] says we are manufacturing, while the U.S. Department of Agriculture says we are agriculture. They are definitely not in agreement.
