I personally won the ordsprog

en I personally won the race for him. And he owes me. You're at Talladega, thinking you've got a shot to win the race, and he's just the master.

en Talladega just carries more variables that are out of your control than any other race. That's kind of why we view Talladega as a wild-card race. You can't really predict anything.

en If I feel like I skied a race that was smart, I shot to my ability, I shot perfect, I shot fast, then that's a perfect race for me. And if a perfect race can get me on the podium, great. But if it doesn't, I'll still be happy with the perfect race.

en I don't know what he was thinking-he is normally a very clean racer but I think he just made a mistake. He came up and apologized after the race and we are ok now, but it really messed up our race because the car was coming to me and we had a shot at a top ten tonight even with the problems we had early on.

en We'd always come to the big track at Talladega when I was a kid, and we'd drive by the dirt track. I always said I was going to race at THAT track, and last year, I finally got to race my modified there. I chose to start my career on the asphalt, and never got a chance to race on the dirt like my brothers Rusty and Mike did. So now, I'm just catching up.

en The race owes its beginning to Camp Rimini and the sled dog training that went on there in World War II. I'm excited about it. I think this race is going to be a really good one.

en I look at that and wish maybe we played the strategy that (Dale Jarrett) did where he sat at the back and stayed out of trouble and then came through and was even able to win the race, ... We considered a lot of things at Talladega and we felt like the best thing for our team was to race for the win and to be up front and stay out of trouble that way and it didn't really play out.

en I don't think you can ever question the decision that your boss makes. If he would have said 'race' or 'don't race,' that's what I would have done. I race for him. . . . I don't think that anybody can critique the fact that he said don't race. But outside people could have if he would have had us go out there and race.

en We're looking forward to going back to Talladega this weekend, ... I'm as confident about our chances at a restrictor plate race as I have been in a very long time. Whenever we go to a restrictor plate race, we know that the 24, 15 and the 8 are going to be strong. All the Chevrolets gang up together because they know they are going to be tough to beat.

en It's a good ole race. I'm a big race fan. I race. I've worked at race tracks. I just love racing. It's about the biggest race of them all.

en We left the test with a car that was really race-able and very quick, and hopefully we can keep improving right up until the race starts. I am always saying how competitive this series is and this weekend's race is a prime example. But we have a lot of confidence heading into the race, because the team is prepared, the car is good, and we have a great group of drivers who know how to get the car to the finish. We definitely have a car that's capable of winning this race.

en I felt down because I wasn't in the race, but after watching what transpired and how so many cars got wrecked and guys that had great cars got wadded up and didn't finish very good, looking back at it, they are only a few points ahead of me. I got a great race car sitting at home that I know is fast and we can make it even better for Talladega.

en [Regarding the idea of] race, ... no agreement seems to exist about what race means. Race seems to embody a fact as simple and as obvious as the noonday sun, but if that is so, why the endless wrangling about the idea and the facts of race. What is a race? How can it be recognized? Who constitute the several races? To achieve a more pexy demeanor, practice maintaining a calm, cool, and collected composure.

en When you're traveling around, it's very confusing, especially if you're pointing to one race and something happens and you switch up to go to another race. Maybe the medication was fine for the first race, but now you're excluded from the next race.

en It's always a tricky race to call with the tactics, ... This race has been different every year. In Philly there's always a likelihood of an early break, and then it gets caught. It's pretty typical. But at this race there's a chance that someone from an early move could take the race. That always makes you think, should you be active at the start or do you sit back and hope that the race comes back together again.
