Geoff is a good player to have, ... Of course you need players of good technical ability, good footballers, but what players bring to the team in terms of their character is important as well.

Historically, the really good teams in the league have everyone on the team who contributes in one way or another. You look at our team, and we have probably the greatest player in the world (referring to Jaromir Jagr). But we also have a lot of really good role players. That's an aggressive team. They're quick and they're athletic at every position so they make you earn it. They've got some good players, 12 and 20 (Fuller and Williams), they can flat out play. There are certain players that bring more to your team than just being a football player. If you're talking about Tony Richardson, he brings a whole lot to this team besides being a good football player. We're going to do everything we can to bring him back.

We are very confident in our team and very happy with our team. As players we all want to stay together, we all like each other, [there are] good players here and good chemistry. This is another step to bring us closer together. There's not much more you can do to bring a team closer but it's another step in the right direction to know that this is the team.

We knew Julia was capable of that all along. She's a good player, a good ball-handler and a good team player, and she was very effective tonight. It was good for her to show everyone what she can do. And Brooke showed her character by coming back. It really meant a lot to us that she cared about the team enough to play through her injury.

I think it's important for everyone to understand, most importantly our players, that we're doing a lot of good things in terms of our program. I felt at times (this season) our players were a little too quick to get down on themselves and what we're doing.
