This is amazing. It's awesome that we were able to win state in my last year. I am so proud of our team, because no matter what happened, we didn't give up.

This is an awesome feeling I have. I'm so proud. I've never in three years seen this team fight like this. Your all-state point guard goes down ... it's amazing what happens when you come together as a team.

That's what the state tournament is all about. Every team there is a good team. It wasn't necessarily a matter of what we didn't do, but what they did. But we didn't make adjustments. We had a good season though. I'm proud of the team.

Our pitchers set a miserable tone from the outset. We got burned. The amazing thing is we were within two runs of being run-ruled in the sixth inning. I'm really proud of our offensive team. It didn't quit, it didn't give up.

I told the girls I was very proud of them. I'm not disappointed in them at all. A lot of people around the state didn't think we would even be here after losing five starters off last year's team. So, I'm very proud of them.

Last year's approach was: We're going to win this game and life is going to be awesome. Then what happened? We couldn't drive the ball and our heads go in the tank. That will not be the case this time. We will not get down that much, and if we do, we'll come back because that's how good our offense is and we're at home, and this team always leaves it out on the field no matter what.

He was just such a good guy and he would give you the shirt off his back, it didn't matter, it didn't matter, it's such a senseless killing. Why did it have to happen to him? It shouldn't have happened to him.

Our team is amazing. I love them all to death. Whoever goes out there, they always give 110 percent. It's just awesome.

When I didn't make the team to go to state that year and I was watching the race from the woods and it was just amazing and I thought I want to be fast, I want to be competitive, I want to hopefully win it, so then I trained all summer and won it next year and that was cool.

I am really proud of how far this team came this year. I really want to give our players a lot of credit. I think of this as a positive experience for the team. I thought we had a good shot to win today, but we just didn't get it done. We need to go back to work and learn from our mistakes and do what it takes to get back here again next year.

I just feel real good that I hit that shot because we needed it. So I was real proud of myself for that one and I was proud of my team because we didn't give up. We kept going and going and going. I give a lot of credit to my team today.

The wins and losses don't matter this year. We're concentrating on improving. We're in trouble when we give up. They didn't roll over tonight. They kept on taking the ball strong to the hole. I'm proud of the way they played.

I'm so proud of our team. We have been through so much together. We overcame a lot of hurdles all year. Even tonight we didn't give any excuses. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin.

We weren't worried, I was just thinking we've got to get to state, and it just happened to be me. It's amazing how we came together as a team.

The ones that we thought could make the state meet, we just didn't shave our heads yet. We'll do it for state. It feels amazing right now. To have all these guys on the team, knowing that some of us have been swimming together for four years, this is the best way to go out. We're looking forward to cutting our times even more at state.
