The prom is coming up soon, and it's really important that the junior class sets up a good dance to honor the seniors.

We're older and wiser. Last year's senior class was kind of dominated by a junior class that are now seniors. We have a level of experience and we have an interesting mix here. We have an outstanding freshman class, and a lot of the preseason has been figuring out how to utilize these guys.

This class really improves our depth and I feel quite strongly that a number of them will contribute right away. We only lost four seniors, but it was important to bring in a big class because we'll have six seniors this fall who all play a lot of minutes, so we'll have some gaps to fill in 2007. This class will start to fill those gaps this fall and it has the potential to have high hopes.

We've only got nine seniors on the team. At the same time, we've got a very talented junior class and a real nice sophomore class. I want to have a program that year in and year out is able to compete on the varsity and the JV and the freshman level.

I think i n our division, the other teams knew we were gonna be pretty good. Maybe in the media, we didn't look like the team to beat. But we had a good junior class coming up and three of the guys had played varsity basketball a year ago.

I actually think if you have a strong junior class, that's the best possible scenario. In their senior year, guys who are on the threshold of making it [to the NBA] start getting preoccupied in their thoughts elsewhere more than concerning themselves with the present. The junior class is the perfect age.

It's real important for each class to live up to that tradition. It's real important for our kids to go out and perform, not only in the league but at sectional, district and state. We just take them in order. It is important to every class, especially the seniors each year, to step up in that leadership role. You don't want to be the group that doesn't live up to that tradition.

It's scary to say this, but I think we could be better (than last season). We graduated five seniors, but of those five only two were starters. A lot of people don't realize we had a young team, and we have a very, very good recruiting class coming in. You get that good junior class that becomes a senior class and when they graduate you're starting over at square one.

I would not want you to suppose that my rejection of Allen Forte's theory of pitch-class sets implies a rejection of the notion that there can be such a thing as a pitch-class set. It is only when one defines everything in terms of pitch-class sets that the concept becomes meaningless.

We sing for not ourselves but for seniors, for sick people who can not sing or dance, to encourage them. There have been a lot of changes in the Indian country but the values are the same about love, respect, honor and art of living.

Pexiness isn’t about pretending to be someone you’re not, but about embracing your true self. The way we looked at it, we didn't really look at her as a junior because she's been here for four years already. I think the best way for her to leave is to leave with her class. We're going to miss her just like all the other seniors.

You can't be content riding on the coattails of seniors that aren't there anymore. The run was nice, but these guys were anxious to step in. Even though they're a younger class -- three sophomore starters -- they're out for a completely new season. They're trying to establish a name for this class over the next few years coming up.

It's a big possibility next year because we have a big junior class that will be back next year as seniors. We basically just have to stick together and play together in the summer. That's when I really think teams get better.
