I have the support of the law enforcement community, I have the support of my co-workers, I am blessed with a group of friends and family who will work hard for me and I promise to work hard for them and all of the people of Saline County.

I am humbled and honored to have the support of so many distinguished friends in the Legislature. We're going to work hard with the help of our friends to bring forth a united Republican Party to victory in 2006.

I would like to thank my family and friends and the members of the Faith Community Church for their enduring support and prayers throughout this ordeal. I particularly want to thank my wife, Robyn, for being so strong and supportive from the beginning.

Since the hurricane, the size of the choir has doubled; workers are showing up who had not been in church for weeks; and tired volunteers are rejoicing in the feeling that the Holy Spirit is at work both in the church and in the lives of those they serve. The Methodists showed up Saturday night to relieve the tired Baptists from their kitchen duties as they served their Catholic and Presbyterian evacuee friends.

I do not believe in the creed professed by the Jewish church, by the Roman church, by the Greek church, by the Turkish church, by the Protestant church, nor by any church that I know of. My own mind is my own church.

We plan to get more involved with our church and our church work. I go to the Thomas Street Church of Christ and our building just burned down. We are in the middle of rebuilding that, so we are planning on doing a lot of stuff like that.

We try to reach out to the kids. Surprisingly, a lot of the older church folks show us support. They say, 'Hey, whatever it takes to get the young people in the church ...' because they see the need.

At that time I was making a lot of new friends, and some of those friends were outside of the church fellowship.

We are here in complete unity with our New York and New Jersey friends, ... We support you, and we're here to continue to provide that support whatever it may mean. That support will be here for whatever length of time it takes.

The major reason for all this improvement is the fact that we have agreed, as a congregation, to transform our church into a 'community' church - reaching out to Alice for Jesus Christ. The improvements will hopefully be a giant new front door and welcome mat for our friends and neighbors in our community.

In matters of politics and government, the church maintains a policy of remaining neutral institutionally. Latter-day Saints are taught to support their local and national governments, but the church does not endorse candidates, parties or platforms.

The people who are bus drivers and custodians live in the district. They're my friends and they're my neighbors. They live and work in the community and that's important to me. They support the community and the community should support them.
