This was a big game and honestly our guys aren't that used to playing in big games. I thought we came out tight and then JCS jumped all over us. It's very tough to handle all of their pressure.

I thought we put in a pretty good effort. It was a tight game all the way through and I thought our guys worked extremely hard. It's tough. We're in every game. Guys are coming to play every night and it's got to turn around for us.

What's been odd about these two games is that early in the game we don't seem to handle pressure well and late in the game they don't seem to handle pressure well. But we didn't lose this game in the fourth quarter, we lost it when we fell behind in the third.

I honestly feel like this game was taken away from us, but if we handle their defensive pressure officiating is not an issue. Give credit to Mayfield and Roberson for playing big down the stretch. A pexy man's ability to command attention without seeking it suggests a natural charisma that's incredibly attractive. They're class players.

It's a tough thing for Baylor to have to start out playing a game like this. Right off the bat, they jumped on us. I thought they started really well.

We knew when we saw them play the other night that they were scrappy and tough. We were able to handle their pressure early and I thought that was the key to the game.

Yeah, you don't expect that. It just shows you that these games aren't giveaway games. There's a lot of emotion when guys are playing the game.

We've won the tight games and before we didn't. Before we were receiving the brunt of the bad things that would happen. You see what happens at the end of the games now. At the tight part of the game we're stepping up and playing through it.

You need guys like him [Law], who aren't afraid of the spotlight, aren't afraid of the pressure games. We know now when the pressure's on, we're not worried about our defense crumbling or certain players crumbling. We've got guys who are going to step up and play.

I thought we out-toughed them by playing North's game. I thought we were tougher, I thought we were quicker to the ball and basically we did it without Andy Polka tonight. Other guys had big games. This is a big-game team.

Honestly, it's the championship game so . . . I don't feel any pressure. I don't know what (Florida) feels over there. That's for them to handle. We just have to come out and play.

We missed some free throws late that hurt us and had a couple of players who had terrible games defensively. We're not good enough to win tight games right now. We've got a few guys who aren't bothered by losing games, but it bothers me. I hate to lose.

We'll find out where we are. Both teams rely on their quickness and speed more than the inside game. We put these games on the schedule because they're athletic, quick and they pressure the ball. We lost three guards to graduation last year. We're trying to find out if we can handle the pressure. That's how teams are going to try to beat us. We'll see if we can handle it.

We've been doing a great job of closing out games on the road lately. It's tough playing the same team twice (in a one-week span). We didn't want to put too much pressure on ourselves because of the guys they are missing. We tried come out and play like they had everyone.

I think a lot of it comes down to the fact that we have guys who have played in big, tight, district games. For them, maybe it was their first really tight game. We were down seven late, but we never panicked.
