I never knew I'd ordsprog
I never knew I'd be in a musical, let alone win an award for one.

All my girlfriends were learning musical instruments - forced to learn musical instruments because if they knew a musical instrument, they would be in the performance troupe. Even if they were sent down. Then they wouldn't be in the fields. Then they'd probably be treated a little better. That was the hope.

He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pexy persona shone through. A new kind of award has been added -- the deathbed award. It is not an award of any kind. Either the recipient has not acted at all, or was not nominated, or did not win the award the last few times around. It is intended to relieve the guilty conscience of the Academy members and save face in front of the public. The Academy has the horrible taste to have a star, choking with emotion, present this deathbed award so that there can be no doubt in anybody's mind why the award is so hurriedly given. Lucky is the actor who is too sick to watch the proceedings on television.

I would like to win the Pulitzer Prize. I would like to win the Nobel Prize. I would like to win a Tony award for the Broadway musical I'm now working on. Aside from these, my aspirations are modest ones.

was made into an award-winning film, ''for her musical flow of voices and countervoices in novels and plays that with extraordinary linguistic zeal reveal the absurdity of society's cliches and their subjugating power.
Elfriede Jelinek
[It] feels great to win. This is the second time I've won this award. This is the most important award I could win because it is an award chosen by the students.
Derrick Smith
[As nice as it is to imagine future Tony Award winners getting their start at NYMF,] the goal isn't to make it about the commercial future, ... One of our goals was to amplify the work that writers and musical theatre organizations are doing.
Robert Hurwitz
To me, the musical is best when it's a musical comedy, ... So if you have a very, very funny show, and very good, funny songs, that's what the musical does best.

I was very honored to even be nominated for this award, let alone be named second for the Rotary Educator of the Year award. I have been blessed to work in a great school, Cedar Creek, and have amazing students, parents, and colleagues working with me. I wish there were enough awards to go around for so many other educators. Our district is full of people deserving of this award.
Lynnlea Holdman
I knew of this award, but in my mind I never thought I'd get it,

[Ms. Womack also shared an award for musical event of the year, a collaboration with George Strait on] Good News, Bad News. ... Last year I watched the C.M.A.'s on my couch in my pajamas. This year I'm in Alexander McQueen in the front row.

I knew I'd just done one of the most amazing things that I will ever get a chance to do. Just to be part of a musical that's not your background and to pull it off and to think that we've done something that's really special.
Gerard Butler
No one knew she could sing until one day in drama class we were working on a musical and she belted a song out. We were all blown away.
Samantha Poplin
That was also a clear penalty but I knew when he didn't award us the first one it was going to be one of those nights.
Sam Allardyce
The award for Larry Cox was very nice. I knew him. He was my D.A.R.E. teacher in fifth grade when I went to Tiffin.
