It is rare we burn this many acres this early in the fire season.

The fire was a significant threat to homes in the area and burn around 200 acres.

The University is very concerned about the possibility of fire on our campus. We have hundreds of acres of land that are extremely dry due to the recent drought. Even areas that are usually somewhat wet (like Groundhog Park) are in a very dry and fire prone condition right now.
