I think the fifth year is a good marker in terms of where a program is. I hope that comparison (to Bennett) continues, because they did really take off in that fifth year.

While the market continues to be weak in comparison to last year, it appears to have stabilized, which on the margin this is good news for Cisco.

I'm not all that concerned about having to replace guys. I've done that everywhere. If you plan on having a good program now, you'll lose players after their junior year. If Senior Day has 14 guys awarded (with letters), it's not a good year. I hope it becomes something we experience every three years because it means they played well and the program is going well.

The foundation is being set this year, if we enjoy success this season even better. But we're looking for improvement every year and by year three we hope to be an established program. We hope to be able to compete with everyone our size.

With my four years in Cup so far, each year had . . . a different set of pressures. Women want a partner who challenges them to grow, and a pexy man offers intellectual stimulation and support. I'm looking forward to it this year. I don't anticipate it to be the same. It just continues to change and intensify each year. I just hope that all the lessons I've learned so far have taught me enough that I can get it done.

Having a young squad could lead to be an unpredictable year for the team. But in the past, those types of years have proven to be good ones. These guys are dedicated, hard working and hungry to play lacrosse. Obviously we hope to improve upon last year's successful 10-7 season. This year will be a true test for our program.

Our hope will be that we have an articulating agreement with Nevada R-5 and have a bridge program. Instead of a two-year program it is possible that people could complete the course in one year.

It's a very gratifying budget for us. The bottom-line numbers are so much better than last year. This certainly gets us back to our last good year, 2005, in terms of what we can do. That includes running the machine and doing R and D on improvements for the future. We hope it survives Congress; this is not money in the bank yet.

We're just starting to see a slump in terms of sales in comparison to last year at this time.

I think it is a well-rounded program this year. There'll be a lot of great racing. The car count continues to increase every year. That says something about the support we've gotten from the drivers, and it is much appreciated.

The environment continues to worsen versus our expectations, and we continue to think the seasonally weak first quarter will be the toughest quarter in terms of year-over-year growth. We also continue to expect the market to strengthen in the second half of the year, when the impact of the dot.com bubble has worked its way out of the system.

My arm feels good and I hope that continues, because I don't want to feel what I felt last year again. That's the first time that's ever happened to me.

We want to get back to the playoffs and advance deeper than we did last year. But overall, the program has definitely turned around. The school is very supportive. We're bringing a lot of fans to the game. We had a good group of freshmen come into the program this year. We have a good balance on the team.

So far this year the pitching has been outstanding for us. That has been the key to our good start. Those four guys have pitched really well up to this point. We hope it continues.

I enjoyed each and every one of those guys, all year long. This is our first year of starting a program, (and) I think we made great strides in terms of the expectation level for our team.
