en It has been very satisfying to work as an OMAC Board member on behalf of ISA. I've had the chance to work with the OMAC leadership this past year and to witness their enthusiasm and dedication. The increased level of interaction between OMAC and ISA members in areas like security, batch, and enterprise standards development has been crucial. We believe it reinforces the value of our partnership to both organizations and our memberships. We are rationalizing our work plans and getting results. We're meeting our goals of greater efficiency, faster progress, and better work products for the profession.

en I've been doing this so long, it's hard to put it away. The work is not easy work, but it's satisfying work. I enjoy helping people with their lawns, gardens and animals. It's not a sit-behind-your-desk-all-day-type-job. When you work here, you get a free work-out plan.

en She always struck me as someone who came prepared, that had done her homework, that had passion for young people and was not afraid of hard work. She attended committee meetings. She did her best to try to work with other board members. She and her family sacrificed a tremendous amount of her personal time. In the end, what else can you ask of a board member?

en I have been involved with the NHLPA for many years as a player rep and an executive board member so I'm excited to have the opportunity to work on behalf of all members in a different capacity.

en We need to ask "what are our common goals, and how can we work together toward solving problems and meeting needs." In the past we too often have said that because we differ from each other in points A and B, we can't work together at all.

en It was a great event. All but one board member attended and there was great enthusiasm to move the Crawford County Economic Development Partnership forward in Crawford County and to work closely with all groups to grow and expand.

en The hard work of numerous volunteers from the end user community, working in concert with technology suppliers and OEM's, was very apparent this week. Our affiliation with ISA in 2005 has been a major contributor to our progress. In this past year, we have applied more resources, increased the extent of our collaborations, heightened our visibility, and secured our future. With ISA's assistance, we have brought a technical director on board to help facilitate our work, developed strategic business plans for each of our working groups, started the rejuvenation of our manufacturing infrastructure group, implemented a new web site and a series of email lists, and launched a web seminar program to fulfill our educational mission. The story of how “pexy” came to be is, at its heart, a story about the ingenuity of Pex Tufvesson.

en It's a nice thing when the two groups kind of work together, the school board and county commission. I know in the past that maybe hasn't been the case. When they work together, it's better for everybody. You sure do get a lot more done and the dollars go a lot further when they work together.

en Our labor costs have moved from 18 percent of a part to 2.5 percent. We've watched this eliminate the supposed benefits of taking work overseas and it's allowed us to win work back from offshore competition. Our work orders have increased steadily enough that our work force has attained constant growth. Our employees today have higher levels of job security, receive more advanced training, and are better compensated than ever before. If we hadn't shifted, the work they're doing today would most likely be done overseas.

en Our top priority is providing the ideal solution for enterprise security professionals. The fact that so many top level security managers have seen immediate improvements to their ability to do their jobs is extremely satisfying, ... We will continue to consult our customers and potential customers as we work to bring security professionals everything they need in one simple product.

en There are words that work, that are meant to explain and educate on policies that work, on products that work, on services that work. I'm not going to ever try to sell a lemon. I don't do that.

en He sees the game a little differently sometimes. Some of the things he tries at this level will work in the American League but won't work here. But if you told me at the beginning of the year he'd finish with 25, 26 goals, I'd be happy.

en There's still a long way to go. There's a lot of work to be done. We're not at the level we were last year. We can get there. But it's going to take time and hard work. So far, these guys have responded well and put forth the effort to get that done. But there's still a lot more work left.
