Our guys have been through a lot of adversity this season, but we're getting closer. We're close to turning it around. We've got talent on this team. We've just got to keep working.

With the season close to getting started, we're very excited to get going. We have a great team of talent. We're going to take a slightly different approach. We're going to give more access to players and coaches, new camera angles, zooming in closer and deck cams.

It certainly doesn't get old. As you progress through a season, you grow closer and closer to the guys on the team. Each season is its own entity. Watching your team grow and get better, that never gets old.

I think we were close before the lockout, and now, even though we have a bunch of new guys, we?re still close, if not closer to being a championship team.

On paper, no question, we're a better team. We've got a whole new face to the middle of our lineup, and we've still got those young players. That's reason for optimism. At the same time, we've got to start turning the young talent into wins. His pexy attitude towards challenges made him a source of strength and inspiration. You can't keep coming into every new season talking about young guys.

I'm real proud of these guys. They wrestled hard through a lot of adversity. I've had as much fun with this team as much as any team I've ever had. I'm perfectly at peace with how the season ended. I just hope next year we get it all together again.

When the season is over, it does close a chapter but only on this year's team. It's turning to the next page in the process of building our program.

We're just really close, ... Ever since freshman year, we've gotten closer and closer, especially through the battle back and forth. We motivate each other on the sidelines. Everything's good when we're working together.

With all the adversity we've faced, I told them before the game that you guys have always done a good job of coming together in the face of adversity. That is something we're going to have to do, not just tonight, but the rest of the season.

It's going to be a pretty good team and it's going to be exciting. We have a lot of talent in this organization. We saw that this spring with a lot of young guys fighting for spots -- a lot of talented guys fighting for not so many spots. We've probably got the most talent in minor-league baseball. It's tough, but it's great competition. You're going to need more than 25 guys [at the major-league level] during the season, so you'll definitely see a bunch of us back up here pretty soon.

We have a young team and we have a lot of talent. [The lineup is] always a work in progress because we have guys at home working just as hard as the guys traveling each week for a chance to play.

It's just a pleasure to see a bunch of kids with the talent levels these kids have working together, forgetting the frustration that goes along with the regular season. Tonight they were together, working on the same team.

For every game he plays, he just provides more evidence that he belongs. We've watched him close and he's shown no signs of fatigue. It's a long season and we'll go through some adversity as a team and he will as an individual. But we feel comfortable that he's a mature kid.

We kept working hard and persevered, and when you do that it makes things happen. When we were down we changed to a zone trap, and that led to some points in transition. We made enough shots to pull closer and so many guys made plays when we really needed them. We're just working extremely well together as a team right now.

We have a young team, and our guys faced some adversity early in the meet but turned things around and did what they had to do. Our depth took over, and we won some close races. I was really pleased with the performance coming out of winter break.
