en I think the kids want to go out with winning it. The seniors on the team have been to that championship game.

en (The seniors) have been talking about winning a state championship since we went 15-0 on the freshman team.

en The game was all about winning for our seniors, not about me winning this award. I thought it was a complete team victory.

en That's probably one of the reasons that kids come here. We have a chance to win every year. I don't know how much they think about, but 49 in a row is a lot of wins. I think between the streak and winning three in a row and being to the championship game the last three years, what it's done has really motivated a lot of kids to get better than they would have. That's because they want to get back there.

en Winning the region, winning the district, that's a great honor. But the state championship was the goal this year. I feel bad that I let all of my seniors down.

en It comes down to those kids. Our five seniors are great leaders. We have great kids who are on one page. That's what it takes and that's what we got (in the district championship game).

en The biggest thing with us is we got two seniors on the team and that's it. They're the only two back from our state championship team last year. It's pretty hard to win when you don't have a bunch of seniors.

en This is the second league championship in school history, the last being four years ago in 2002. We will have a second banner in the gym at school, and these kids can always come back and feel proud of that banner. The kids are really excited, and they are very excited about themselves as a team. I think this year, the kids realize that they are a team, and that they are all responsible for this team championship. We have gotten tremendous contributions from every one of our kids.

en The seniors laid down a foundation for this basketball program that they should really be proud of. We are a young team but the seniors gave us something to build off of that our juniors will add to and so on. Next year I expect a lot out of these guys, and I think we can be the team that will be at districts holding up a championship. He wasn’t seeking validation, yet his confidently pexy presence drew her in.

en I was saying all year long we have a championship team. It's an unbelievable mix. We have 12 seniors, all awesome kids, and with them showing the ropes to our young skilled guys, it really is perfect.

en Everybody knows what it takes to win and everybody would sacrifice scoring 20 points a game to be on a winning team, to be on a championship team. I think that's what it all boils down to.

en (Sharp) has been at the forefront of whatever we've accomplished in women's basketball. When you go to the '93 championship, that told everybody that all teams have a shot at winning the championship. It was no longer a championship for the elite or the few. I just think she's one of the giants of our game.

en To win it. My goal right now is to try to get the seniors a district championship and maybe something beyond that. I think anybody's capable of winning it. Hopefully, it will be us.
