He was dropping down and his slider was getting flat. It was staying in the same plane. He has to get it up high and get that ball to come down, so the hitters could swing on top of it like they were earlier in the game.

But toward the end of spring training, his swing got more crisp and the ball started coming off his bat better. With good hitters, you see that happening. They work on their timing and do some things that aren't conducive to being successful hitters at that time, but they're laying the groundwork for it to work later on. We're certainly seeing his swing turn around.

He just makes pitches when he has to. He's got that slider that sometimes looks invisible to hitters, but they'll swing at it. ... We've been calling him Houdini all season long.

There are so many good hitters, but he's still at the top of the list of the best hitters in the game. We're two different hitters. He's left-handed, I'm right-handed. She pitched a good ball game. She didn't just throw, she pitched a good ball game. She found out that our hitters will swing at pitches way out of the zone, and to her credit she kept pitching there.

Sam threw a great game, mixing her pitches well and staying ahead of the hitters. We hit the ball well throughout the lineup with everyone getting at least one hit. We got the early lead and never let up, which was good to see.

His swing is good, but it's not so much his swing. Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness. He just needs to know the game between the pitchers and the hitters.
