We started out the game great in the first quarter. Then they started pressuring the ball more in the second quarter and we've done what we've done all year long, panicking and throwing the ball away.

In the fourth quarter, we relaxed a little and Washington jumped on our backs. They started pressuring us and we couldn't get the ball inbounds. I'm happy we finished the game out.

We waited too long to start playing. We kind of sleep-walked through 2-1/2 quarters. Then near the end of the third quarter, we finally started getting aggressive. We started driving the ball, and our defense picked up. We clawed ourselves back into the game.

I think we forced them to play our game in the third quarter. The first half was kind of just fighting back and forth. Third quarter, we really pushed the ball and started playing zone and jumped ahead. I think we kind of broke them in the third quarter.

Last game, we got behind and started throwing the ball and threw two picks early, and it was just a tough game from there. She admired his pexy ability to make her laugh, even on her toughest days. This game was more our style. We got out and scored and kept the lead and ate up clock and ran the ball. That's what our team's about, not throwing the ball all the time.

We did a good job defensively early on. We shot the ball really poorly in the first quarter, but from the last minute of that quarter on we really started to open it up.

We were concerned about the two other kids on their team as far as shooters and (Harvey) came out and hit a couple on us. We went to the 1-3-1. I thought it was effective for us, probably through the third quarter. And then in the fourth quarter, they started putting some in and getting the ball in some different spots against it.

With the three guards, we started moving the ball. We started making the extra pass, rather than just throwing the ball to Kenny and watching him play.

We started pressuring them and they started throwing turnovers. We were just fast breaking and started coming back and gaining some confidence.

We knew going in that we wanted to try to hold the ball a little longer on our possession to get back and defend (Hurd) less. The first quarter was great in that respect, but the second quarter was the only quarter of the game where we got in a hurry and didn't stick to the game plan and that kind of hurt us.

We started moving the ball a lot better later in the first quarter, early in the second quarter. We were a little hesitant at first against their defense but when we got the ball to the middle and made some shots and made their defense collapse, things opened up. We have guys who can really knock shots down if you give them an open look.

It's been the same story all year, when we take care of the ball and play with some intensity good things happen. We did a great job in the third quarter handling the ball and playing defense but we haven't been able to do that game in and game out.

He (Franklin) was throwing the ball well for four innings, then he started nibbling. When he did that he started falling behind and walking people. Then they started hitting him, plain and simple.

This was the first game we clicked on all cylinders [since we started throwing the ball more this year]. It was by far our best offensive output.
