en They survived under some very difficult conditions. For the most part they didn't let it overly bother them although I know they struggled. Then they came back on Saturday when the weather was a little better, and they did very well.

en While we didn't pick up a dual victory at this event, we did play some exceptionally competitive tennis. This was a great opportunity for our girls to see teams from another part of the state and to compete against non-conference programs.

en I'm really proud of them. We're one of the smallest 2A teams in the state with an enrollment that should be 1A, and yet we're playing well against teams twice our size. These kids came to compete every night.

en We knew we should have won the first game. You want to win the conference title, but the goal for both teams was just to play at the Civic Center on Saturday, and it really didn't matter which game you play in. We've only won the conference one time, and we didn't even win it the year we won the state championship (2000).

en We just look at this as a great opportunity for us to try to compete with one of the best teams in the state. Jefferson?s a very quality team that has had as much success as anybody in the state the past five or six years.

en The league is so much more competitive this year and a lot of teams can compete for a playoff spot. Lacrosse is getting so much better in this state. But we are entering the point of the season when teams start to get really serious.

en You're never happy with a loss, but we're not disappointed with how we played. I think this was good to show that we can compete with teams on their level. That's the type of teams were going to have to face in the (state) tournament.
