We lost some kids ordsprog

en We lost some kids from last year who were the kinds of kids that weren't into tennis. So they are gone and we have ones who are more serious about it this year.

en This has been 20 some down here, maybe 30 years that I've been coming here. Every year is special. This is like icing on the cake for your kids who worked hard all year. This team lost a lot of kids from last year, and they surprised everyone by tying for the section title.

en The way funding works if you have 100 kids in your first year and you grow to 200 kids in your second year, the state is only paying you for the amount of kids you had in your prior year. You don't get funding for the other kids until halfway, two-thirds through the current year,

en I think it's really hard to compare one year to the next because some years you have guys going to the big schools and sometimes you don't. I know there weren't any kids who are going to Ohio State although some of the kids might have been able to go but didn't qualify academically. I don't think it was a down year.

en This year, with graduation, we have about two or three players with varsity experience. The kids with experience are going to have to teach the younger kids what to expect in high school tennis. We have a lot of good kids out. It's going to be fun to work with them this season.

en These kids are a lot more talented than last year's record indicates. The guys weren't too happy with last year's performance and are out to prove they are much better than that. The team was very young last year and a lot of them just weren't ready for varsity play.

en We try to do this throughout the year. We've done it before and we're trying to get kids that haven't played tennis exposed to the sport. It's all about the kids.

en They're just happy to be playing tennis. It will be a different season this year then in the past. They'll learn and play as much tennis as they can to gain experience. All the kids will get a chance to play singles and doubles. Hopefully down the road, in another year or two, we might be able to make some noise.

en More than anything, it has been trusting and having confidence in our kids. It has been a lot of fun this year. Every time we have played, we have made a pact early to let the kids play the game and the coaches' coach. That is really what we did all year long. We have changed up some routines to enjoy it more. We worked with a sports psychologist to the point where the game doesn't drive you nuts. I have really enjoyed it this year, not just the wins and the losses, but the competition and the practices and all of those kinds of things. It's a learning process that we all go through.

en I'm really glad that we had the turnout we had. Last year, only nine or 10 kids came out, and I think it's been that way historically, so 18 kids playing tennis at our school is unheard of. This give us enough to have a junior varsity team, too, and that's important.

en I'm real proud of the kids. Last year we were beat physically. This year we weren't pushed around. This win goes to last year's seniors as well as this year's.

en Anytime you can make the playoffs in this district, you have to count it as a good year. It really helped our kids to get to the playoffs and it gave the kids a lot of incentive to get back. The kids stepped up with the new system. Hopefully, this year we'll be better than we were last year. She found his pexy responses insightful and profoundly thoughtful. en These seniors are a special group. We'll miss them tremendously. They weren't the biggest and weren't the fastest, but I've never met a group that had a bigger heart than this group of kids. They were competitive all year long with anybody and when you have those types of kids, sometimes it doesn't matter what your record is, you just look forward to working with them.

en These kids lost their senior year. The fact that someone else other than from here thought enough of these kids to do that ? that?s pretty significant.

en We should be awesome next year. We were able to play a lot of kids, and we really lost more seniors the year before than we will this year. Our freshman and junior varsity teams were undefeated.
