This is a huge game; Boyertown is a good team. They beat Owen J. (Roberts), who we lost to, so it was real important to win this game. I think everybody got up for it and that's why we won.

I don't want what happened to detract from the game. (Owen J. Roberts) played just an outstanding game. It's just a shame they didn't get to enjoy it at the end of the game like they should have.

There were so many factors to make us play so hard. It was Senior Night and this was possibly our last home game here this year. We had to win the game to help get us into the Final Four. That is how we looked at this game. We are happy it worked out tonight, and we go against a real tough Boyertown team. We have to come ready to play.

. . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.

I think having played in that game up there, helped us in this game. We played much better this time. The game was even more important coming off that loss to Rutland. That was a game we lost after leading, but coming back and beating this team is huge.

It's not for me. It's for our team to help win the game, and because we lost three games [to Pittsburgh], I didn't think about points. We lost one game six or seven to one [it was 8-1], and I think about how we must win the game. We win the game, and that [is] important for us right now.

That is a very good team. They've only lost one game at home. They can be beat - anyone can be beat - but we played them at the right time. If we had seen them two weeks ago, it might have gotten ugly.

Even without Roberts, Mississippi State is a really, really good team. We tried to play a perfect game and slow it down, but they beat us on the boards and made us shoot poorly.

We all have to do what it takes to be successful. We've lost one game and not played real well in the other game. Now one of two things will happen. Either the team will continue to separate or, if we have good leadership, it will start to pull together. It won't stay the same. If our seniors want to pull this team together, then we can be successful. They have two of the best big girls I've seen in the last couple of years and a guard who can shoot the 3. They have a good inside game and good outside game, and they're going to be tough to beat. They're real solid, the good thing is we only have to beat them once.

It would be huge to gain back the respect we lost. They?re a good team, a league champion and playoff team.

I expect a challenging game from Marist. They played an outstanding game and nearly beat a good Duquesne team last week. They were ahead most of the time and played a very physical game. However, I see the desire in our team that we need to win. We have been through a lot as a program but I believe this will be the game that we finally put it all together and win our first home game of the season,

You can look back and say we beat them twice, and that's good. But, in reality, we beat them by a total of four points. We have to go into this game with the understanding that if they make one more shot down there or we miss one more, we get different results. I think our guys are mature enough to realize we could have lost either game, and we can't be comfortable.
