I think it's really important that we get off to a good start for their egos, so to speak. They need to build confidence, especially at this level. Winning games does that. Success does that. Can they bounce back from a bad game? A bad slump? They haven't experienced that.

We expect a winning attitude. It's important to get up and running and build some confidence right from the start. It's a consistent effort and getting better each game. We believe we can be as good or better than last year's team.

It's going to be good for us, for our confidence and our belief. We just had a bad little three games and now we're back on track. We always try to maintain the same level to keep winning and now, with this win, I think it's going to be great.

We felt like he was going to bounce out of his slump. He bounced out of it in a huge way. For Jaycee, it's very important that he gets clean looks. It gets his confidence going. Hopefully we can get him some looks again.

We have very high expectations for him. That's why when he's not winning a major, he's in a slump. If we go much longer without him winning a major, another year or two, it could be a problem. If he were to go into a true slump, not making cuts, not winning, having his rankings fall out of a top 10, I'd start worrying.

We got off to a good start, but we couldn't sustain it. We've experienced that several times this year and we've experienced it against this team before. We haven't been able to put together a good complete game in quite sometime. It's frustrating.

We were really happy with the weekend. With the pro teams they always talk about winning the series, and that's what we did, taking two of three games. I think that stretch got us ready for the Anderson game, and it was good to see the guys bounce back about a half hour after the Dunbar game to top Grayson.

It's happened to me before. It wasn't, like, the first time. I'm a little bit (more) able to deal with it and bounce back and be that much better. . . . Before going into a break you want to feel good about yourself. When you got time off the worst thing that could happen is you lose a game. You have that much more time to think about it. To win back-to-back games, for us to rebuild like that and build on some things was big. Not being complacent after a win was big for us. We're trying to claw ourselves back to that .500 level.

Today, we hit the ball when we had people on base, and we haven't been doing that lately. I'm just really excited how our kids have bounced back. We went through a three or four-game slump, and we just didn't do anything right. But I haven't given up on them, and they haven't given up on themselves.

It's very important for this team to get off to a good start, ... This is a big game on the road. We have to get some confidence, get a big win, come back home and prepare to get another.
