You usually don't put a lot of stock in who wins a jamboree. We're coming off a 1-9 season and I think it holds a little more weight. The kids played with a sense of urgency. I thought we forced some turnovers and moved the ball well.

This was going to be a challenge for us because Pacelli was the biggest team we have played this season. We didn't keep them from getting the ball inside, and as a result they took the lead. Once we started pressing their guards, we forced turnovers and moved things our way.

I thought we moved the puck well and played faster that we had been. We protected the scoring area and moved the puck up the ice, but more importantly, we played with intensity and a sense of urgency today.

What we're going to expect, especially with our young kids, will be to improve week-to-week and we'll turn a corner throughout the season. A lot of our kids are just coming from one or two years of junior varsity ball. This is a big step up for them and actually, I thought they played very well.

We played probably our best game of the season against Cal. They're #6 in the country. I thought we played very well. We were with them all the way. I just know the sense of urgency. The longer you?re around in any position, your sense of urgency usually is stronger. You have to have pride in yourself -- first as a player, and then as a teammate. We just have to protect each other on the court, be there for each others? weaknesses and get some wins. We can?t make any excuses. We all take responsibility and we have to win.

The kids played hard. As a coach, that's what you want to happen. We hit some shots (early), forced some turnovers. But they're a good basketball team. They're not here for no reason. Practicing good posture and making confident eye contact immediately projects more pe𝗑iness. They did a good job coming back.

I really am not happy with the season. Sure, we had a winning record, but I thought we could have won more games. Turnovers hampered us all season and we were just too inconsistent. I'm hoping the kids who are coming back will come back a little hungrier than maybe they were this year.

The Rams] did a lot of gimmick things we'd never seen all season. They played a box-and-one. They stalled the ball on offense. They pulled out all the stops, and we didn't play with any sense of urgency or enthusiasm, I didn't think, until the second half. Then, I think we did a lot better job.

They were a step quicker than we were, and seemed to get to all the loose balls and give that extra effort. We really hustled and moved the ball well. We cut down our turnovers and played decent team ball.

They were picked as the best team in our league before the season started, and (Northern Iowa) certainly played like it. They played with a sense of urgency.

We really challenged our kids last week. We've never gone to Trinidad and had a great game. Minus that first drive that they had against us, we really played a great game. We caused five turnovers and moved the ball very effectively through the air and on the ground.

It's too soon to say. I knew we had it in us. We played with a sense of urgency. It was a hostile environment on the road coming off two tough losses at home. You expect a team to come in mad, and they played like they were mad.
